Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

I got an interview with Harris Health! Ben Taub ICU!  It was kind of weird though, because they emailed us at like 8:30/9:00 at night.

Congrats to your interview!

I have not heard much either from these hospitals. I will continue the wait.

I’m on the same boat and I’m scared ? I’ve done assessments and stuff but haven’t heard anything else

They said thanks for letting them know and they’ll get back to me.

you guys, I'm starting to get pretty discouraged... Still haven't been able to schedule a pre-screen with HM TMC due to their time slots being gone, and I haven't heard from anywhere else yet either.... I know MH said they would reach out starting this week so I'm starting to get nervous...

Same boat over here too...

Me too friend ? I applied to St Luke’s and Harris Heath and still haven’t heard from them either. I have hospital experience, I have like 3 letters of recommendation and still nothing ?

Positive Thoughts...What is for us will be! Also, start looking for non traditional hospitals if you are truly concerned.

Same! High GPA, hospital CNA experience, 3 LORs.... LOL! I’m trying to keep my hopes up for now!

I heard from St. Luke’s but never heard back from Harris Health. I want MH so badly tho I’m praying I get that email this week for match day. This last semester of nursing school is by far the most stressful one yet.

Did we specify the units we wanted with the Harris Health application? I cant remember
