Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

So I applied to the methodist Willowbrook location the day the applications were posted and I still haven't heard anything. I was applying to mother baby. Do yall think that it means that I have been denied? I got an email saying they got my application the day I applied but that's it. For the people who have already done the pre-screening call do y'all think that means I won't hear anything?

Hey Madison, when I had my pre screen today, they told me that they would be done pre screening by the end of the day for mother-baby tomorrow. so I think that may mean they haven’t moved forward with your application. I’m so sorry girl. You will find your place! They also told me they were only hiring 2 new grads for mother baby and then asked me what other units I would be interested so I assume I won’t be getting an offer on that unit LOL. Did you apply for any other locations?

Dang it, Okay thanks for letting me know and I appreciate it! I was really hoping for mother-baby and I have a really strong GPA and resume so I don't know what went wrong. But thanks for the help and information!

hello! after applying to TCH did you get an email saying documents missing? I emailed all required documents to the GN residency email and attached them to my application so I am confused? 

Am I missing something or did others receive this too?

Has anyone heard back from Methodist SugarLand or Katy? I got the email Monday that they’ll be reaching out to people but I haven’t heard anything yet.

For Houston Methodist has anyone heard from Sugarland ICU or MED Surg to attend the prescreen?  I only received the email that they were still looking through applicants for PreScreen.
I have gotten the email to apply for the TMC acute care job but worried about Sugarland as it was my first choice.

No I haven’t  heard anything else. I’ve been waiting on the link to register for an interview time.
