Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

This may be a long shot but did anyone write down how many residents each unit for Memorial Herman’s TMC  are hiring?  I couldn’t make that pre match day because of clinicals.

Does anyone have on hand or know where I can find the Memorial Hermann Southwest, Greater Heights, and Katy units that are hiring? I wasn't able to attend those Pre-Match day zoom meetings

They do not release these numbers because they do not want you to apply on the basis of availability but because you are actually passionate about that area of interest. The units that are hiring for the residency are listed above in the screenshot.

Okay I just attended the pre match day for the woodlands and they listed the numbers just wanted to know if TMC did the same. Thank you!

I’m soooo discouraged by The Woodlands numbers. they are only hiring 18 new grads TOTAL. I can’t remember them all but it was like 2 for L&D, 4 med surg tele, 4 med surg oncology, 1 MICU, 1 SICU, and the rest I cant remember. No OR. I feel like I don't even want to apply to that location now....

Also id like to know if anyone got numbers or units hiring for Sugar land or southwest as I was not able to attend those.

Greater Heights units that I wrote down are ED, mother baby, OR, and some med surg areas. I believe there's more but that's all I have ?  Logged on to Memorial City now
