I know some people who work at Methodist and I was just told they've already selected and going through the process for those who chose procedural units (OR) because they start a month or so earlier than the others! So hopefully now we'll hear back haha.

What were your top choices if you don't mind me asking? My choices for MH are TMC: Neurovascular ICU and TMC: Neuroscience ICU. Methodist: TMC: ICU and Sugarland: ICU

Yes, hopefully we hear back soon! My choices for MH are CMH: L&D and Sugarland: L&D. For Methodist I chose Sugarland: L&D and Willowbrook: L&D...all L&D haha

Hey everyone! Applied and did the behavioral assessment. My first choice (children’s) says under review!!

Same ! Fingers crossed ??

Specializes in Neuro Acute Care.

Hi everyone, I graduated in August a bit earlier than some, so I'll be taking my NCLEX in a week or two. But I'm moving to Texas from NYC and so the Spring 2021 start date was more ideal for me.

I've applied to:

A. Memorial Hermann (behavioral test done, listed as under review)

B. Houston Methodist (no response yet post initial application)

C. Harris Health (submitted application packet)

D. CHI St Lukes (submitted application packet)

In general I'm applying for the TMC, and my top areas are OR, ED, L&D and Neuro.  Because each application has different areas they are allowing applications each one was different for me. GPA is meh at 3.2, but I have a little MA experience and a bunch of COVID volunteer work I hope helps me. I also have both my BLS & ACLS.

Just a waiting game now!

Hi, I applied to those hospitals as well! I just received the GN packet from Harris Health yesterday and I am still working on my essays. Do you mind sharing how long are your essays? I know the instruction says less than 500 words. I am wondering if 250-300 words would be too little ?

Mine were probably about 100 words..

LOL okay. I don’t want to make it too long either! I have a feeling they will not read it word by word. Thanks for sharing girl!

Yeah mine were all about ~250 words. Nothing too crazy!

Specializes in IMCU/PCU.

Is anyone here a May graduate applying for a second (or ever third) time?

I took the NCLEX right away and have been licensed since June. I have a 3.3 GPA. Got as far as an interview with St Luke's but ZERO offers! I am getting so discouraged! Only 5 people out of my entire graduating class have jobs right now.

Yay! Mine too! What unit did you put for Children’s??

I put down the NICU! I’m nervous because I’m sure it’s tough to get into.
