Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2021

Hello! I created this thread for those graduating in December who are applying to nurse residency programs in Houston for the Spring 2021 start date. Good luck everyone!!

Hey all! I received an email from St. Luke today filling out a survey and sending resume and transcripts. Still no word from Herman or Methodist.

Still no behavioral assessment from Hermann, but I just saw that the status for my 1st choice now says “application under review”!

Hey! One of my friends said she emailed and the packets are supposed to be coming out this week.

TCH is currently under a hiring freeze, unfortunately, and I have heard that HCA will not open up until much later, but not sure exactly when!

Hello, 

I applied to Memorial Hermann Saturday and got my rejection email Sunday. It does not specify why, but I am thinking it might be due to my low GPA. Has anyone with a 2.9 GPA or below got any interviews anywhere? I am loosing hope ?

That makes sense. My friends and I have been waiting for them to release a statement relating to their Nurse Residency program. Oh well ?

I just received the GN checklist package for Harris

I think you should ask why! Im not sure what their GPA requirement was, but I believe some hospitals are 2.5 and above? I could be wrong. Are you done with school? Or are on the last semester?

Any idea who we talk to or how we get our Nursing GPA with a Letter head for Harris? And do they want our signature? helpppp

Hi, I applied for Harris Health and haven’t received the GN package. I’m worried! When you submitted your application, did you also send then the requirement lists (current resume, unofficial transcripts, BLS, letter of recommendations)? I am not sure because I thought we will send them all that when we recieve the GN package.

@huonhng  - no, I didn't. they also said they'd be sending them till Friday. so maybe wait till the weekend.
