I totes love when the classes decide to break out the hot glue guns. It seems that my *brightest* stars are the ones that have mastered glue gun usage as well as managing to stay in class and getting all of their homework done in a timely fashion. They all have sooo many talents. I'm glad I got burn gel signed off on my formulary.
Hot glue gun?? At school? Hmmm.We used to have a welding class - all 3 of my older adult children took it. This was high school though.
Yep... For the 5th graders in art. I guess she thought they could handle it. Heck, I'm 27 years old and I can't use one without sustaining a burn.
There were 5 burns, only one bad enough to come to me. Friday is Hot Glue Day for the other 5th grade class. Looking forward to that...
I dont' have a problem with the kids using hot glue. They gotta learn sometime and a burn can be a pretty good life lesson. I have several on my arms from helping my mom in the kitchen. Guess who always wears LONG oven mitts now?? :)
I guess I'm just a little bit surprised since Dodge Ball has been banned (where I live) and glue guns are fine and dandy.

Today is apparently "burn myself with a hot glue gun" day.
Anyone wanna guess what they are doing in art class?
Anyone...
One kid came up with the skin peeled off his finger.
I'm thinking "How long did you hold your finger there bud?!"
Also, this week is National Volunteer Week. Make sure to thank your awesome volunteers.
*I was trying to see how many smileys I could correctly use in one post. We need a *crickets* smiley. (I got very little sleep, my thyroid is WAY OFF, it's like I'm all jacked up on Mt. Dew...without the Mt. Dew.)
