I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Do you have a copy if your fingerprints? I wouldn't worry about it if you still have it, with a date on it:)

no my check isn't cashes for background, I was referring to the fact that our papers say criminal justice applicant on them. Hey Leroy, my phone is damaged and im waiting for my replacement in the mail. So if anyone tries to contact me, I don't have access sorry. As for my stats test I totally failed it. I didn't have enough time. Why would a teacher put questions on the test with 30 numbers and asked for a standard deviation, and questions about empirical percentages and z scores and then ask 4 other things for the same problem. and put things on the test we didn't really cover in class. I was not ready. I feel horrible

Hey sorry to hear about the test n ur phone!! don't u worry u can get it back for the next test i know it! it is hard the stats i have taken it long back!

Hi Char, I am so sorry about your test. Trust me I know what that feels like :facepalm: Hang in there though you will pull through. If you are a visual learner I suggest YOUTUBE tutorials it may sound weird but the videos can be an awesome supplemental learning tool. I had the worst A&PII teacher (he's probably the worst rated professor at Dale Mabe) if it wasn't for Youtube tutorials I would have failed for sure! Look up Khan Academy they have hundreds of free tutorials. Hope this helps =)

Mine has been cleared on 9/17. But I wouldn't worry about it. We do have an evidence of being there! Btw sorry for the test, but it's not the last test, right? I take stats, too. It's boring, but it's much better than English comp... Oh I'm dying it the class?

Thank you everyone, and yes its horrible, it wasn't to bad until the part with percentiles and asking for the difference, she didn't go over it really. she spent maybe 25 minutes on it and let us leave early. I cant wait get my phone back tomorrow, its been 2 days without a phone and I am not use to it at all, there were so many times already that I wanted to look for my phone to snap a picture lol. My son put on his dads tie and was running around the house lol, I wanted to capture that moment but couldn't. grrrr. Does anyone know if the assignments are mailed to us or are they actually sent to an email on hawkmail?

I got a 79 on my stats test, ugh. And I got the easiesy question wrong cause I guess I wasnt paying attention! But anyways, I think they are maiked to us!!

Also some exciting news it was announced today officially that starting after you finish your first semester at HCC in nurisng you can start taking USFS BSN classes online!! I know we are very excited as next summer we will be able to knock out a few classes before we graduate.

I saw the article too! That is so great for us! Did they tell you we have to finish their (usf's) pre-reqs before taking those courses online?? Thanks you!

Can you tell us any more info? I don't have my AA yet. And I don't have my 2nd language. I'll have all my usf prerequisites just not the AA part. Where can I read more about qualifications? And how many semester hours minimum can we do? How will this impact our HCC classes? This is risky and scarey. Only because I have a job and 3 kids and I work. If my boyfriend can find a good paying job, I'm sure he won't mind picking up the bills.

I have a question for anyone who got an alternative seat. Has anyone heard anything, like a letter or email? I would have thought something would be done about it this week since last week was the deadline for us to accept or reject our seats?
