I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Hello everyone I am brand new to this site. I was told you have a fb as well but I have yet to find it. I was just told about this site today by a classmate. On a personal note I do want to let anyone on the waiting list know it can happen don't give up.GOOD luck!!!

Hey juliansmom a question for u. When they send the assignments out to our campus, do we pick the day we want for clinicals if we are a afternoon or morning class? Like will they give us a choice for a tuesday or Wednesday?

I have HEARD it depends on your teacher. Apparently some will let you choose, and some will not. Grr.......

Then u can sit tight here. There are some others that don't use facebook either. I post in allnurses and on facebook. Currently we are wondering why the background paper shows criminal justice applicant instead of nurses. One of our fellow nursing students is going Monday to check this out for us all. So if any of you notice that you also have a background paper with criminal justice applicant listed and checked, then no worries. Your not alone .. we will keep everyone updated as soon as we find something out.

I think it was the criminal justice building thats y they mentioned it...just a guess..!

Yeah it was. I'm not too worried, but I take classes on campus anyways, so I will go ask and make sure.

Question, does anyone know how the lab hours work? A friend of mine was told it was 15hrs a week. Is this true? can anyone ask friends that are in the program already, or if you read it somewhere can you share that info please :)

The syllabus says 37.5hrs, so I assumed we have to take several hours for several weeks during the semester... Plus we will have 3hours lectures twice a week, clinical a 10hrs a week...
