I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Thank you : ) I always go to Starbucks in hopes of finding a coffee that will give me energy but it never really works for me so I say forget it and just end up getting Dunkin Donuts and spending 2 bucks as opposed to 4 bucks, lol! but ill def give that one a try tomorrow or maybe tonight so I can get a good study session in!

Omg ur just like me! I love dunkin! I have a cup in front of me now. Ahahah. U can buy the energy drink at walmart. I keep a few in the fridge for test days. There is alot lf sugar in it but let me tell u.. it taste great for an energy drink, and it gets me up and spunky! Im so wired when Im on it.

Lol.. its made by starbucks... its a nice size can too. They have mocha and I believe its vanilla. . Not to sure on the second one. Because im all over the mocha.. let me know what u think.

Gardius, do you know if night time is selected as a choice, if the clinicals are done at that time also? Or is it the same for everyone on clinicals. 6am till 4pm

Clinicals are Saturdays. 6/6:30am to 4ish every week.

Hello everyone!

I am applying for Spring 2015 as well. Just taking my last prereqs- Anat ll + lab, and college alg.

If I get all A's I will have a 3.7, however if I get a B in Anat lecture or College Algebra I will have a 3.57

It seems that the cut off for Spring is lower than compared to falls. I have been stalking this website lol.

I am just nervous that if for some reason I get two B's this semester and end up with a 3.4 I won't get in :( Does anyone know if a 3.4 would make it for Spring??

Most likely though I will AT LEAST have a 3.57.

Also, I live all the way in Palm Harbor, so my only choice for schools is DM. I am planning on putting DM morning, afternoons, and nights/weekends as my first three choices. Anyone think that will those kind of GPAs I would at least get one of those??

3.4 you should be fine. 3.57 should be a definite.

I dont believe and essay is required. Admission is based on GPA. If you were to apply to USF then an admission essay if required. Morning dm hours I dont have a clue. .if I find out before its answered ill post it

9a-12p Thurs/Fri. Clinicals Tuesday or Wednesday (times vary). No essay. Prereq GPA only.

Why yes, as Night/Weekend is the only thing I can do if I'm accepted: 5pm-8pm Mon/Wed, Clinicals Saturday. When you get to 3rd term you'll add Mental Health Nursing, which will probably squeeze in on that Tuesday. Same times but one hour less.

Afternoons: 1pm-4pm Thurs/Fri. Clinicals Tuesday or Wednesday just like Morning peeps, my guess is everyone is thrown together simultaneously.
