Hello all, I was in the online neighborhood (lol) and congrats to those who got in! Hey SILVACH24, I may not be part of the class but would you mind if I joined the FB group anyway? To learn about the group's experiences both for me as well as to pass on any tips to future students who might join me next year...

Sorry to be blunt but... a) You missed out by not taking at least two of these during the summer, preferably Anatomy 1 in Summer A and Anatomy 2 in Summer B. Financial Aid or not, because you didn't enroll in the Anatomies you're now in this position. Micro & Nutrition alone would have been doable for Fall but that's not what happened. b) As for your desired enrollment result, you're probably not going to find the others (since you need the respective labs) in the accelerated sequence you want but I can help you with the Nutrition class. Filter the search so that it shows HUN for the course prefix. HUN2202 to be precise. Credit Class Schedule - Valencia College You need to accept that you will be facing, at the earliest, a Fall 2015 start... trust me I've done ALL the searching imaginable when I was doing my prereqs a couple years ago. St. Petersburg College in Florida has an online Micro class AND an online lab (you buy this lab kit for $200 that gets shipped to your home and you do the labs at home) but no way is it 7 weeks, it's the full term.

Hi everyone... I hope all is well. Since applications are in I can no longer provide any anecdotes of wisdom re: my original application experience, however I wanted to share that my Summer A Trigonometry class is now over and it was a success. Though it won't be official on my transcript until early August once Summer B ends, I project an A, as my Final Average appeared to be a 91.7% before the class ended. I'm thrilled to say that this will override my B in MAC1105 and bump up my previous 3.52 to a 3.67, validating my whole point for taking Trig after all. That said I am now in a much more comfortable place for the Fall 2015 cycle than I was before, so I'm crossing my fingers that I will see you all in the class after you for August of next year. :) Once again I'm thinking good thoughts for you all. Orientation will be sometime around November 12-14. 2 days, 7:30ish-4pm. (That's a date estimate based on how it was for the Spring 2013 group)

I don't know if it helps but I took online Micro through St. Petersburg College in Florida in Spring 2012. Got an A. I will let you look into the approved by CA part. But hey it's a start, maybe...

Annnnnnnnnnnnd... that's why I said originally I wish I could meet you all since I felt like part of the family. I wouldn't expect a bunch of you to come to Orlando just for a get together when you all are already in the Tampa area. Just threw it out there for giggles. But it's okay.

You're too kind sir... that said... 1) I have already taken the TEAS twice as it was needed for 2 of the ABSN programs I applied to for 2013. I got an 80, far more than the 60 that HCC will require, so I'm already set with that part. 2) I live in Orlando... Disney/Universal/"any other fun stuff in Orlando" day anyone? :)

No database that I know of. The key thing is that say you went to 4 schools, A B C and D. D was the last one you attended. Assuming D has all of your transcripts from A B and C reflected on D's transcript, if you do not send A, B, C, and D to HCC, they will deny you, even though D has all grades on it from A, B, and C. That is nearly exactly what happened to me when I was denied for Spring 2013. Turned out to be okay for me since it put me in a position to apply to several ABSN programs at the time... but I digress. The point here, I maintain that you are better off overpreparing vs underpreparing, but using my example again, if school D has no evidence of school A on it's transcript, and neither B or C has evidence of A either, then I would say yes, pretend your time at A did not exist and do not acknowledge it anywhere in your app.

The application asks for your initials in each box and it clearly says TEAS scores must be submitted beginning with the January 15, 2015 deadline.

I will jump in here and say if you do not have EVERYTHING they could possibly want, you will be denied. Trust me, that's what happened the first time I applied. The point? In a case like this there is no such thing as sending too much, better to "overprepare" vs "underprepare" here.

SILVACH24, if you still can't figure it out, go back to the HCC Spring 2013 and PM the person who created that thread, "Rachanee" is her name I think, how she did it. Tell her the guy that originally suggested the poll for that thread sent you.

Because you have less grades for your prereqs (21 credits) compared to your AS which will be more. Example: pretend prereqs were only 3 classes and you had an A in all 3 for a 4.0 average. That's 9 credits at 12 grade points each (A = 4 grade points x 3 credits). 3x12 = 36, 36/9 = 4.0 GPA But then say your AS was only 4 classes, but 12 credits. 3 As and a B = 45 grade points /12 credits = 3.75GPA. The more grades you have the more your GPA can drop. Make sense? But then pretend your AS was only 4 classes but you got 4 As and a B.
