  1. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Okay just sent a request to join!
  2. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Hello all, I was in the online neighborhood (lol) and congrats to those who got in! Hey SILVACH24, I may not be part of the class but would you mind if I joined the FB group anyway? To learn about the group's experiences both for me as well as to pa...
  3. 7 week Prerequisites

Sorry to be blunt but... a) You missed out by not taking at least two of these during the summer, preferably Anatomy 1 in Summer A and Anatomy 2 in Summer B. Financial Aid or not, because you didn't enroll in the Anatomies you're now in this position...
  4. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Hi everyone... I hope all is well. Since applications are in I can no longer provide any anecdotes of wisdom re: my original application experience, however I wanted to share that my Summer A Trigonometry class is now over and it was a success. Thou...
  5. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Orientation will be sometime around November 12-14. 2 days, 7:30ish-4pm. (That's a date estimate based on how it was for the Spring 2013 group)
  6. Online Microbiology

I don't know if it helps but I took online Micro through St. Petersburg College in Florida in Spring 2012. Got an A. I will let you look into the approved by CA part. But hey it's a start, maybe...
  7. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Annnnnnnnnnnnd... that's why I said originally I wish I could meet you all since I felt like part of the family. I wouldn't expect a bunch of you to come to Orlando just for a get together when you all are already in the Tampa area. Just threw it o...
  8. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

You're too kind sir... that said... 1) I have already taken the TEAS twice as it was needed for 2 of the ABSN programs I applied to for 2013. I got an 80, far more than the 60 that HCC will require, so I'm already set with that part. 2) I live in ...
  9. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Thanks dude... I just wish I could meet you all in the Fall, I feel like part of the family, even if I won't be enrolling for Spring 2015.
  10. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

No database that I know of. The key thing is that say you went to 4 schools, A B C and D. D was the last one you attended. Assuming D has all of your transcripts from A B and C reflected on D's transcript, if you do not send A, B, C, and D to HCC,...
  11. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

The application asks for your initials in each box and it clearly says TEAS scores must be submitted beginning with the January 15, 2015 deadline.
  12. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

I will jump in here and say if you do not have EVERYTHING they could possibly want, you will be denied. Trust me, that's what happened the first time I applied. The point? In a case like this there is no such thing as sending too much, better to "...
  13. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Only SILVACH24 can do that since she originated this thread. SILVACH24, if you still can't figure it out, go back to the HCC Spring 2013 and PM the person who created that thread, "Rachanee" is her name I think, how she did it. Tell her the guy tha...
  14. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Because you have less grades for your prereqs (21 credits) compared to your AS which will be more. Example: pretend prereqs were only 3 classes and you had an A in all 3 for a 4.0 average. That's 9 credits at 12 grade points each (A = 4 grade points...
  15. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Try to edit your first post on this thread, see if there's an icon that resembles a poll.
  16. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Yes, that was an idea sponsored by yours truly in our Spring 2013 thread the first time I was an applicant. I'm not kidding either. Nonetheless it was a well received idea, but SILVACH24, you are the only one that can do it since you started the thr...
  17. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Assuming that holds, 3.86. Well done! Look for your Acceptance Letter in September.
  18. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Usually that comes later, man, like at Orientation. But I'd have a couple of guesses for what it's worth, LOL.
  19. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Yes a higher math counts. That's exactly why I'm starting Trigonometry this Monday the 5th which I will apply toward my Fall 2015 app, assuming I get an A to override my B in MAC1105. ? And, my initial nonacceptance was Spring 2013, not Fall 201...
  20. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Unfortunately no, so did I. Trigonometry is the next highest class up; I linked to the HCC Health Sciences Handbook that outlines this several pages back on this thread.
  21. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

3.71. I would quite literally be shocked if you weren't admitted.
  22. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Because I'm super nerdy like that, :up:I made my own Excel-based GPA calculator many moons ago. C column * D column = E column. E13/C13 = Final GPA. The math class is bolded since it's the only class that can be changed, if necessary.
  23. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Well for what it's worth I had/have a 3.52 and was waitlisted for Fall 2013 where floor GPAs are much higher, so that is one thing, and like I said for Spring 2013 I saw people get in with numbers near that. And I can relate, Nights/Weekends is all I...
  24. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Assuming your slashes represent the Lab grades also... you have a 3.52. But don't worry you should be fine, I saw people get in with that or near it in Spring 2013.
  25. hillsborough community college SPRING 2015

Not that I'm applying for this term but Nights/Weekends would be the only thing I could do. I live about 90 minutes away from the Plant City Campus so I'd have to commute. That and I love my current job too much, not about to give it up. :)
