I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Hi everyone, I'm going to be at the South Shore campus starting in this spring. I was wondering if anyone is receiving emails from the program or teacher, who is in my class? I haven't gotten anything.

How is everyone doing on the reading? I'm still reading the 3chapters out of the fundamentals of nursing book. Hoping to give myself a least a week before class starts to study just the calculations. Hey, DM morning classes - do we start our first day in lab on a TUESDAY or is our first day a class day on Thursday? I'm so confused on when our first day is lol

You are all so brave. Wish I could start my life over and go for the 4 yr. RN right off the bat. Why o why did I ever go for the LPN?

Hey! Doing good. I'm still reading clinical calculations. I've not looked at fundamentals. What chapters again? 27-29? I do believe the first day is 1/13 in lab, according to the welcome letter. But she didn't respond to the email I sent her confirming this.

I was always told you don't even need to know calcuations due to the machines doing it all for you nowdays. Not true I guess?

Prof. Richey seems to take awhile to respond to emails, sadly. I forget the numbers but it's the infection control chapter and also Hygiene and vital signs.

When is our calculation test suppose to be again? Nit the first week right?

Thanks! I have no idea when the test(s) will be. But I remember reading about taking it within the first 3 weeks, so we can pass meds during clinicals.

Yeah I texted her about 2 weeks ago, nothing. What chapters are you reading?
