Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
Whew....Thanks for the info eyoung. I only retook it once. I have a 3.71 unless my Statistics grade is good. If so, I have a 3.87. I'm hoping for a letter tomorrow!!
the letter got sent to my parents' house instead of mine...I didn't get in. I thought for sure a 3.57 GPA was good enough but I guess not. Going to do the LPN program somewhere else and try to do it that way. Good luck to everyone that made it!!!

WHAT? Clempso was given an alternate seat with a 3.57 GPA. There's NO reason why you weren't also offered an alternate seat. What exactly did the letter say? Did they calculate your GPA at 3.57? You should DEFINITELY appeal.
Clemso, do you have a degree already? I'm so confused as to why they're accepting some, but not others. Hopefully my letter tomorrow will shed some light... watch, they'll completely screw up my GPA and I'll also have to appeal. I hate this.

Those who said they are INNNNN so far, their GPA is higher than 3.57 Eyoung from what i have read so far. No one yet from those who already accepted into the program has ever mentioned their GPA is below or at least 3.57. The lowest one so far i found is "3.66 or 3.714 GPA"
HCC always have a few seat available for those who are going to file for an APPEAL in case they made mistake.
Not everyone who accepted into the nursing program decide to pursue that degree
I believe if anyone misses the orientation or decide not to show off for any reason, an Alternate take that person's space.

Got my acceptance letter today!! I have a 4.0 GPA. My friend has a 3.7 GPA and was denied.
was it a 3.7 on the head? was it 3.7 pre req? There are people here who have 3.7 that got accepted! Was your friend's gpa calculated correctly... that sounds a little.. no VERY far fetched!!! but if it's a legitimate denial then oh man competition is steep!! I hope my 3.714 makes the cut!!!
