  1. Congratulations Pam! You still look the same and I hope you remember me (Clems) from microbiology at South Shore Campus. Start this fall, i'll be in NP3 at Plant City and can't wait to finish with this program. Word of advice, study the calculation book from chapter 1 up to 9 and don't lose that book because you will need it for every semester. When i was in NP1 last fall, i had my first 2 tests on the 3rd week and every other weekend i had a test and sometimes every week. Just study hard and you will make it!
  2. Phoenix, For Plant City, it will be either at Lakeland Regional Medical Center or South Florida Baptist. I'm currently going to Plant City for my NP1 and going to Lakeland Regional Medical Center every friday from 6:30am up to 4:30pm and the rest of my classmates go to South Florida Baptist at the same time on Thursday and i hope this help.
  3. Had anybody registered for the HCC Nursing Incoming Student CPR course, that supposed to be held today (7/12/11) at Dale Mabry Campus from 5pm until 9pm ROOM D-362 (Nursing Lab)? Is this course cancelled or not?
  4. 620 applicants applied into the Nursing Program for this Fall Semester 2011, 160 applicants were being offered a seat and the Cut-off GPA was 3.524. Those who had a 4.00 down to 3.67 GPA were offered a seat at the very beginning and those who had a 3.62 down to 3.476 were offered an Alternate seat and had to wait for another 6 extra weeks of painful. From the Alternates who were being offered a seat, ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE a 3.619 DOWN to 3.52 GPA. Hope this help for you, I believe that's what i heard the General Nursing Manager said on the 1st day of the Nursing ORIENTATION.
  5. Check your email ladies and gentemen, here is what i found" It was nice to meet you at orientation. As promised please find attached the instructions to access and complete the Baycare on-line training. As discussed this must be completed prior to starting your first class and will take several hours so I would encourage you to start it at soon as possible. If you have any questions please let me know, otherwise once you have completed the training please save a copy of your Baycare transcript of training and email, fax or bring it to my office (room 315) as proof of your completion of the class. "
  6. The Orientation is too long and boring! The very first 5 hours on Tuesday was just enough to let us know what we need. 1.CPR License 2.Physical 3. Immunization 4. Complete those two (8) training from that website she is going to send us on our email. 5. Save money to buy book somewhere from $527 up to $ 900 if you decide to buy each book individually. 6. Uniform ( No visible tatoe, white Nursing Shoes, see a tailor for the Patches and have that tailor put it on the left shoulder, Name tags, etc) 7. Show the New Student how to use Hawknet to register * Am i missing anything? There should not be go to different rooms, 361, 114 etc. Lasty, Remember ROOM 315 DTECH, in case we have to talk to that Lady if we're missing anything.
  7. I am kind like mad with myself on that Orientation, I was the only and another girl who couldn't do the drug test on the first day due to unable to urinate. The general Nurse Manager had to call my name and that girl right before we go to Lunch on Tuesday. Now, i have to go on thursday to do it. I'm currently taking Antibiotics, maybe that's them that makes me unable to urinate whenever i want.
  8. Thank you Eyoung, i will be there at 8: 30am, i lost my acceptance letter, that's the reason i wrote you and i wanted to be 100% sure.
  9. Please confirm Eyoung, i believe the orientation is scheduled for tomorrow and wednesday (June 21 and June 22)from 9am until 4pm. I don't know if i have to worry, HCC still hasn't cashed my $ 35 dollars background checks. Where exactly at Dale Mabry? Is it at the Gymnasium?
  10. Aren't we supposed to have a CPR license on the first week of the school in August? According to that letter, it says no ONLINE CPR courses or certificate is acceptable. Did you already have yours, Eyoung?
  11. Thanks Eyoung, i just called them a few minutes ago, and they handled the payment for me over the phone. Looks like, i need to start review my anatomy I and II as well as Microbiology in the next following month.
  12. I went to HCC and returned my letter acceptance seat today, and i also tried to do the background CHECK this afternoon. Maybe something is wrong with my laptop or with the Internet, i filled everything correctly, it doesn't want to be process at all. I saw an error and i click ok, soon as i click OK, All i saw " please wait while the payment is being process" after 40 minutes of waiting for this thing to be process, i gave up and turned my laptop off. Also, said, do not click the refresh button, in order to avoid multiple charge. This thing is freaking me out.
