Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
These emails just made me get a little more nervous. I am losing my mind! lol I hope they send the letters soon. Good luck everyone and lets cross our fingers and toes!
I'm thinking the letters are on there way considering the emails we just received... i'm keeping the hope that we get them the 1st week of March like the last Fall cycle.... Whoever gets there letter plz post online!!! I'm away from my "mailing address" and thus will have to travel to gind out the results. Thanks guys and GOOD LUCK

I Have a feeling, in the next two weeks, everyone will start receive a letter whether you're accepted or not into the Nursing Program
I have been checking email and web adviser every five minutes(not quite, but close), but I haven't received a letter like this. Has anyone else not received their letter yet? Web adviser does show that all of my information has been received. Thanks for your help.
Does anyone have the Health Science admission's office number handy? The one listed online just rings and rings.
My documents still say that my "Nursing Prerequisites" are missing. I've emailed and I heard back today that they're still in the process of evaluating documents, but I'm still not at ease, ... especially since you guys are receiving these emails about your documents being complete.
Have any of you NOT received an email about your documents being complete?
Just wait one or 2 days GC2CRNA if you're not received that email. If you look at the at the previous page and read from PSSTOOPS. Basically, he had confirmed he receives that email too.

Do you have transcripts from multiple schools? Im hoping, since I've attended and graduated from different schools, that they're just saving the most annoying files for last. I think they may need to look up my micro class from SCF to make sure it satisfies their prerequisite, etc. I've taken everything, but my documents still say "nursing prerequisites" are not received.

I just received the same system generated email from MG in the Health Sciences Department. I hope this means that the letters are going to be sent out soon!
Yes, I just got the same one. Says it's system generated so I'm not putting much stock in it other than all my documents are in the queue. Still think it's going to be another 6 weeks, not that I have anything to base that on other than the volume of applications I was told that they have to process for the fall classes.

I applied and was accepted into HCC Nursing program for the Spring 2011 semester; however two weeks before school started I decided to give up my seat and re-apply for the Fall 2011 semester due to a personal issue that would have possible not given me enough time for studying this semester and caused me to fail. Everyone that I know in the nursing program at HCC says that you have to do an insanely amount of studying in the first semester, otherwise you quite possibly will fail.
Anyway my GPA is a 3.72 and I have transcripts from 3 other colleges; and even though I was accepted into the program for this Spring term, to this day, all of my classes required for the program still have not been put into the HCC system. Like many of you I was so worried when I applied the first time because nothing was being posted into the HCC system. I submitted my application on January 7th for the Fall 2011 term and I included a return post card so that I would know it was in the hands of the nursing department. I received the post card back immediately and got an acknowledgement e-mail on January 20th saying my stuff was received. My check was cashed shortly. Although under "My Profile" my "Academic Program" has changed to "A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic", under "My documents" it still does not show anything received and all of my required classes still are not posted. This time around I am not worried and would tell you to relax and enjoy your time off before school starts.

I just about fainted when I received a letter from HCC on Saturday. I was VERY disappointed when I opened it and found it to be a letter from the finacial aid office regarding a student loan application. Hopefully the REAL letter will be on its way soon enough!
