Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
I just about fainted when I received a letter from HCC on Saturday. I was VERY disappointed when I opened it and found it to be a letter from the finacial aid office regarding a student loan application. Hopefully the REAL letter will be on its way soon enough!

Ohh they will and if they dont you can always bring it up at appeal time.....But Im sure they will use your calculus grade because they did with me last semester and my grade was not recieved either on hawknet so dont worry !! by the way great GPA you will be just fineee
Hi again. I just got a little nervous when a lot of people on here started receiving their emails about "we have received all of your documentation...etc." I'm SO nervous. Thanks for the little pick me up Fairy! I needed it.
Does anyone know who MF is? I would like to email her to find out when the committee plans to meet. I'm going crazy with anticipation. I think I could calm myself a little if I knew this little tidbit. I could stop stalking the mailman!

I believe i am with you both as far as the heart jumping as I began to read your post. I haven't gotten any info about Fin aid... in fact I was under the impression I'd have to appeal because i have 100+ credits but idk. We can't give names on here but she's the head of the Nursing dept. Those are her initials. You could always email the health science dept. they are pretty prompt in their responses. As far as gpa's go (provided everything is calculated correctly) is a 3.71. All my documents show rcv'd etc. Still hanging on with the rest of you all!!!
I've gotten the same system generated email too but each time I check webadvisor I don't see any changes posted to my transcript. This wait is turning my hair gray...er. No idea which if any of my multitude of out of state classes will be accepted, and I had a C in the precalculus class that I'm hoping they'll accept as the higher level math prereq. Ugh. I think I have a 3.7 GPA in the core pre-nursing classes but I'm going to double check. Still at work right now, have ZERO focus.
Hey Markeyg, it you attended accredited schools, then I would think that they would have to accept the transfer classes. None of my classes from SCF are showing up and I'm still missing nursing prerequisites... Is sure wish they would find them already!

i think these people like to make us stress. and i would say that they are being very successful. agh! i really hope that they are not sending them out spring break, because i will be out of town to see my family, and i really wanted to surprise them with the news if i got in. i guess we will see. did they say what date the committee is meeting?

actually... i didn;t ask them that.... ugh that would've been a better question... shoot... who wants to call next and ask them that? lol
