HI TO ALL NURSES!
I was able to pass my CGFNS on my own expense last november 2002. after receiving my rresult february of 2003, i then started looking for an agency to help me realize my dreams of coming to the US. i was lucky enough to sign a contract with Enhance Immigration in Cebu stating that they are going to pay for all the necessary expenses in order to become a nurse & work in the US. true enough, they have scheduled me to take IELTS march of 2004 and passed it in time before my CGFNS would expire. i was then able to file for my visa screen. BUT TO MY SURPRISE, despite the fact that i have kept on reminding them as to when they are going to pay for my visa screen, as it was stated in the contract, they just tell me its not important at the moment since visa screen will only be needed during interview at the US embassy in Manila. So, i was very CONFIDENT that they knew everything what was best for me. My case was file dec 2003 and was approved Oct 2004. i was interviewed by my employer dec 2003 thru phone. i am scheduled on may 3, 2006 to take my NCLEX in Hongkong. last April 10, 2006 as i was on my way to work, i received a phone call from my agency in cebu that MY IELTS HAS ALREADY EXPIRED.HELLO!!!! Who's fault is this????? i have tried to contact also our correspondent agency in the US (IRG), dont know if you have heard about them, but the person in charge has not given me any feedback regarding this matter. MY GOD! I CANT AFFORD (MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, SPIRITUALLY, AND FINANCIALLY) TO TAKE THE EXAM AGAIN! Now, what will happen to my CGFNS exam? will it expire also? PLEASE I NEED COMFORTING WORDS/HELP/PRAYERS and everything regarding my problem especially now that my nclex is fast approaching!
PLEASE................
THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME TO READ!

Let me get this straight, you had approval that long ago and nothing has been done? Why are you even staying with that agency? They definitely are not doing things in a timely manner? You were approved October, 2004 and have not taken the NCLEX yet?
Has your agency ever paid the imigration bill for your visa? You should have been in the US a year ago..............have you ever completed the DS-230 for immigration?
And yes, you will need to retake the English exam, the score is only good for two years.
And I definitely suggest that you get another agency, you are getting the royal screw as we call it here.

sorry to hear that. your agency lied you, cheated you and left you in misery. you spent a long time waiting for them now it's a time to get out of them. that is extremely unfair.
unfortunately, you have to take the exam again. for now, just forget these things and focus on your nclex-rn exam. after the exam is over you can think a solution. do you already have a cgfns certificate? even if your cgfns result expires, you won't have problem for visa screen once you pass the nclex-rn. but you have to re take the ielts anyway.
all the best for your exam and everything.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I think your agency does not know what they're doing. Your papers are in slow mode. Bad thing is you have to accept that you have to re-take your IELTS. Nothing can be done if it expires. You have to move on FORWARD...
Moreover, focus on your upcoming NCLEX (do your best to pass it since I believe that your CGFNS is also expired by now) then apply for IELTS immediately. File for Visascreen after to avoid it in expiring again.
At an average, if you 'll take NCLEX on May, file for I-140 on June, take IELTS by July-August, then file for Visascreen by September, I-140 approved on November, lastly consular interview by July 2007.
You have not mentioned regarding P3 processing though and the state where you are heading to (if CGFNS is still required). I have a feeling that your P3 has never been started at all. I think you should consider to leaving that agency despite them shouldering your NCLEX. (If you can just sue them for moral damages.):angryfire
It would be a good idea to contact your employer directly and tell them the real picture of the situation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they would understand and come up with a good solution. Otherwise, you'll have to find for another employer and start the process from scratch. Yikes!
I advise you to familiarize yourself with the entire process. There are lots of threads here that you can read along...
I am definitely bothered by your situation right now and I am praying that you'll get over this soon. We're all with you....:blushkiss

sorry to hear this...
i have heard nasty things about Enhance. a few friends signed up with this agency and it has only given them headaches. one of them had been waiting for her interview only to find out that they still haven't paid for her fee bill. another realized after calling them that her husband's papers were stashed in their drawer for months and not submitted to NVC. one of them finally went for interview and realized that her contract said "Qatar" instead of "Philippines". and the last one has been with them for 5 years... they keep on filing and refiling her case because of constant denial due to employer's inability to pay. the sad thing about all this is that they never communicate to us, and if you don't know how to micro-manage them, your papers rarely move in a timely manner. they also withhold your original documents so you can't transfer to another agency.
my sympathies are with you. you can still take the exam. you passed it before so i believe in you :) of course, demand that they pay for the retake. remember, worse things have happened to others. god bless.

Just leave the agency and look for another one. (Prefarably go direct).
You can try and go to http://www.theagapecenter.com/hospitals and email the HR and nurse recruiters directly.
All that they are doing is enhancing their wallets.
True test when selecting an agency, how many nurses have they actually placed in the US? Sound slike none.
Run as fast as you can from them.

by the way, i have already signed and submitted my DS 230 together with my dependents' and all the supporting documents needed via my agency. the question now is that i dont know if they have submitted it to NVC.
to all nurses,
im so so so happy to have heard from you. i thought no one would ever open this and take time to read. it has given me a little relief . as of now, i will just concentrate on my upcoming NCLEX exam in hongkong. then deal it this problem later. honestly, i really have no choice but to go with the flow of the agency because i dont have the funds to pay for all the necessary expences for tha exams and other payments. i was just lucky to have a friend who offered to pay for my dependents immigrant visa fee ($1,000+). and its very ironic because i just knew that they havent payed for MY OWN IMMIGRANT VISA FEE. if i have known then i would have asked my friend to pay for my visa screen instead of paying for my dependents.
nevertheless, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for taking time to read and give inspiring words. i have no choice but to move on.....
still looking forward to hear more from all of you.

Sorry, but you still do not need to be treated loke that. You need to have more confidence in yourself. You will be going to the US with a green card, as a legal permanent resident, not an illegal alien.
You should not be treated like that. Yo uhave wasted over two years where you could have already been in the US working. Do you know for a fact how many nurses that this agency has actually placed in the US?
I highly recommend that you contact the US Embassy and ask them this.
