I'm considering of taking psychology human and growth development next semester at 8am MWF. I did take AP psych in high school which was kinda easy but I had a crappy teacher! However, I will also be taking Chem 1151(Survey of Chemistry) with the lab for 4 credit hours, engl 1101, social problems, and a 1 hour advising class for prenursing...Based on my class schedule and your experience, do you think I will have a heavy course load? If I take the psych class I will have 14 credit hours. Thanks so much!! Btw, I've taken several AP courses in high school and will have chem on Tuesday and Thursday.

Hi. I am currently taking this class over the summer. It is a challenging course depending on your professor. We conducted a 5 part Developmental study along with other side projects and extra credit assignments. The material is interesting but you have to do ALOT of reading to keep up.
Again this depends on your professor. My coworker took the same class online and did only 3 assignments the entire semester.

I took that class during the summer and my teacher was super easy. He would have students get together in groups and do presentations for most of the class and you had to do a certain number of assignments. I loved it!

I thought this was one of the easiest classes I took.
Having said that, we had a quiz every class. We had 8 mini papers (2-3 pages each) as well as a larger (7-8 page) paper. We had 4 or 5 tests throughout the semester.

Eh, the class isn't difficult. I'm sure it could be a lot of busy work, depending on your professor, but it in no way should be hard to understand or grasp/study for. I'd go for it.

I agree with Stephalump. Not difficult to understand, but professors can make it more time consuming with lots of smaller assignments between tests.

I took the class online, mostly busy work!!! Had to write a couple of papers but they were mostly opinion based so you should be ok I think taking the class if your ok with writing papers and doing busy work.

I took that class online during the summer (8 weeks) and it was super easy. We only had 4 online exams (open book but had a 2 hour time limit) and 4 discussion boards to do. I think it just depends on what teacher you get. Good luck!!

I LOVED taking Human Growth and Development (Psyc).. I had a wonderful teacher that was able to explain it so easy! I always found psychology to be so amusing! I considered like an elective course bc I had so much fun in it!

I love this class! I took it this last fall. I took it online at my school ad found it easy. I think if you did AP psych you should be good. There was busy work (online discussions) but some really fun assignments too. I think taking it with the other classes should be fine.

My teacher for that class was not particularly good. She would tell us the tests were going to be on her lectures, but she'd make the tests up the night before and some of the questions would be on stuff that wasn't in her lectures. Also, the questions were worded very poorly, which resulted in a lot of people failing the tests and that would disturb her, so she would curve the grades. There was also too much busy work. On top of that, she would miss class and then leave a note telling us to write summaries on what we thought she was supposed to teach that evening based on the textbook. It was very odd. Having said that, the work was not difficult, just time consuming. I took it at the same time I was taking A&P I, so my mind wasn't in it as much as it might have been otherwise. Even with my half attention and the poor abilities of the teacher, I managed to get an A. It's one of the easier classes I have taken in my college career, but also one of the least enjoyable.

I am just getting back into school after 13 years and trying to do the LPN program. Right now I have to take college algebra and human growth and development. The algebra is at the school but human growth is online. Do u think with just starting back I am gonna do ok with these classes?
