I was just selected as Nurse of the Year, and my photo will be placed on a poster in our hospital. QUite frankly I am somewhat embarrassed and nervous about it. I was excited about being selected but now I am scared and dont know what to wear. Has anybody been through something like this?
They want to take my picture next week, and I am not sure what to wear. Scrubs - of course. But printed ? Solid colors? What looks good?
ANy ideas, friends?

Depends where you're going to be photographed, what type of background.

Congratulations!
I suggest you wear a solid color that is complimentary to your skin and hair. We all have a color that gets us lots of compliments.

Congratulations! Make sure your hair and makeup are just right. Then I would where a solid top. Definetly not white.

Solid looks more professional so I agree with the above posters. By the Congratulations.....that is wonderful.

First off, congratulations! Being selected Nurse of the Year is a huge honor. All of our NOTY winners have dressed in business casual clothes. It looks really good on all of the winners. That's awesome.

Congrats!!
I agree with all of the above - make sure its not a light color that will wash you out in "hospital" lighting. I did hobby photography for a few years, and always liked dark, rich colors on people better - they really make skin, hair, and eyes pop.

As a professional photographer, I advise clients to wear solids (unless it is a kids session) and not wear white because it can be difficult not to "blow out" the white (the white ends up glowing bright"). Also I suggest looking into getting hair and makeup done professionally and do a run through. If my face was going to be on a poster with everyone in the hospital seeing it, I would want to look GOOOOD .
