Hi everyone. This is my first time posting. but since it's now official I thought I'd introduce myself.
I got my acceptance letter this morning to a 2 yr RN program. Orientation is August 3 & 4, classes start August 30th. I am so excited. I have waited so long & worked so hard for this.
A little about me...I'm 29 (for another 4 weeks!) & divorced. I've got an adorable 3 yo little girl. We live in sunny Florida & love the beach. I've been a stay at home mom for the last 3 years & working on my Nursing pre-reqs at the same time. Before that I spent 5 years working as 911 Operator/Police Dispatcher.
I look forward to posting here & geting some insights into nursing school 7 the field itself. hopefully I can not only learn but help others too

Hello Allison from a fellow Floridian. What parts are you from and what school will you be attending? I'm a PBCC student going into second semester. I know you must be excited about starting this journey.
I used to live in Fort Myers! Now I am back in NY. Anyhow, welcome to Allnurses! You will meet some awesome people and learn a lot! Be careful, though, this site can be addicting! Seriously, though, congrats on getting into school!
Hey Alison I too am 29 (till October Shhhhhhh) and have a cutie pie 3 yr old girl. I also am begining a 2yr RN program this Aug. (16). How cool. Congrats on being accepted and good luck in school!
