I think I can see your problem.
Your keyboard is sticking. In particular the E,L & P keys. Often this is caused by gunk build up around the keys. Look carefully at the keys and clean them as needed I have personally found that q-tips work great for this.
If the problem is mechanical in nature it may require a replacement keyboard.
I took the exam for Los Angeles Country Health Nurse (LASD) and the 1st part of the exam was math and abbreviations.... don't forget your grains conversions, and if you pass that part, they give you a small form to come back at a later date and take more NCLEX format questions. Not sure if the same is for County Health Nurse, but review all, including Math conversions. Good Luck, and pls tell us how you did.
Are the questions assessing the PHN core competencies? If they're that terrifying, I agree that you're probably not qualified at this point. You got practice questions, so you could always study and take the test, and see what happens. But it is a lot of information and too complex to be able to fully explain on an online forum.
Google "Quad Council public health nursing competencies," and that should give you some idea of what the PHN is supposed to be...well, competent at.
Thank you all responses.
I called the Exam Analyst by the name (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she sent me to this website
WELCOME and to another one similar to this. I have been trying to study them but it has absolutely nothing to do with nursing. Zip, tit, nada, Zero. And the questions are weird.
Now someone talked about LASD questions. I don't know it is the same type of exam that applies to PHN. I have taken the La County medication exam before and passed but this public health thingy is kinda weird.
Tommorrow is D-day. So you all wish me well and I will update the blog about what happens.

I had this problem with a Bluetooth keyboard linked to my iPad. I ended up sending it back for a replacement.

Hello,
I applied for a phn nurse position at the LA county and I got a letter for an exam next week.
Problem is I don't know how to study. The exam analyst responsible for the position sent me to their website where they have some practice stuff. But honestly, if that is what the exam is then I am truly scared cause the stuff is very very hard. I don't know what to do. Has anyone ever taken this exam. It is for PH5230C.
