If so why did you change your mind ? Or do you plan to use it as you're undergrad ?

They are very different disciplines....it has happened but it isn't "the next step"

Not for me. Too much money and too much schooling involved. I'm planning on going the NP route.
I realize they are very different disciplines but I feel like it ld a really good plan b incase you didn't get accepted. They are both in the musical field and about helping people so they are not that different but thank you for the input :)

Nursing was my plan B that turned into my plan A. I like traveling, seeing my family, and enjoying my money. I'd rather not be an MD and have to wait until I'm 70 to do all those things. Nursing will give me the challenge and fulfillment I'm looking for, a reasonable wage, and time. Good enough for me :-)

I did briefly entertain the idea of applying to medical school, but the appeal of much more patient contact and caring really pushed me toward nursing. I also plan to start a family before too long and med school is longer, plus you then have internships and residencies before your life is yours again.

There is only a very select amount of people in the nursing field who consider going to medical school. Most of us are becoming nurses because we really enjoy patient contact and the experience of it. Being an MD is diagnosis based. There isn't as much direct patient contact as far as treatment goes. I have known people who end up going into medicine but in the nursing field its very uncommon.
