No this is not my reason for entering.
Just a curious question.
And if so... Do tell.
The boys/young men on my unit? LOL! They're all fresh newbs out of school and like 10 years younger than me.Same with the doctors. I get nervous when they barely look like they're out of high school.
I can't count with all fingers how many times a patient asked me - "How old are you? You look so young!".
Yes ... I was full fledged RN at age 21.
Most of my coworkers are 30 - 40 years old and above and female... so not like I'm gonna date any of them. But they make great drinking buddies!
Good! I didn't like the idea of you not having boobs. Back to the topic, there is a glow in a man's eye when you mention you're a nurse. Especially if you are in your scrubs and rocking them. I can see it happening more if there were more male nurses. I guess it's easier for some to get closer to the doctors. I know what I bring to the table, so I would never settle into the stereotype of the nurse "shacking" with the doctor either. I knew guys had an admiration/fantasy for nurses, but didn't believe it completely until now.

I am actually really cool with the very few male nurses I know in my hospital. It would be super weird if they ever asked me out. However, one of the male nurses from nights has hit on me, but I really haven't paid it too much mind. If he ever stayed back for overtime during my shift then I can see it getting uncomfortable. The transporters are a whole other story lol. I feel like fresh meat being the new chick on the floor.
