LMAO! Tough times come to all sooner or later. Those days are hard, but really hone the time management skills:banghead:

Been there, done that. Got so bad where I worked that we started taking our cell phones with us. They'd inevitably page you overhead to come take admit orders on a patient. With a cell we called the desk and explained we were involved in a process of eimination and have the charge nurse take the orders. Hope things get better for you (they refused my suggestion to install a hospital phone in the can).

HaHa, I just told my mom this today, that with my last shift the only time I sat down was in the bathroom!

We so need that. If I had a nickel for every time I sat down to pee. and the phone rang out at the desk.. I wouldn't have to work anymore.

Where I work we carry phones. Just hate hearing the D#$* thing ring just as I start to pee! To the OP hopefully your next shift is much better!
I have to carry a phone too. It's inevitable, as soon as the pee starts to flow, the phone rings. 110% of the time.
One time I had the phone in my front pocket and when I sat down something else in my pocket must have hit one of the buttons because I heard a beep. What did I see when I looked down? PAGING ALL!!
Now, the phone goes on the corner of the sink when I go into the bathroom.

If there is a nurse out there that HASN'T had that type of day, I'd like to know if your facility is hiring!

My last shift was one of those. I didn't even get to pee.
Of course I didn't eat anything, and only drank about 120ml of water.
Maybe that's a new strategy. Think of how much more productive we'd be if we didn't have to mess with those pesky ole bodily functions.
