Thursday Hallowe'en... Boo!!. I think we'll need more prayers for tomorrow when the parade of tummyaches comes through... let's start a tally of kids that "feel sick" but weren't up late and didn't eat "any" candy

We do not celebrate Halloween in our school with any food, thank goodness. No costumes either. And we have a PD day tomorrow, so we really lucked out!!

Second day this week multiple kids have had roller skates on. We had a fire drill too.
Did I mention most of them can't roller skate?

We are just the opposite, we have a no sweets policy, except Halloween, Christmas, Easter and Valentines. All the classes are having parties today. Although I work elementary, and I use the "Well if your sick, maybe I should call mom and tell her you shouldn't go trick or treating tonight" threat, most of the "sick" students miraculously feel much better and can go back to class.

This has been my entire day. What sucks is that its been the teachers sending kids down for "looking warm". Then the kids harness the power of suggestion and all of a sudden, after having not complained in the first place, have all the symptoms under the sun. I'm not above the bribe today.

so when i was in high school, I was not a big fan of PE class games. My PE teacher was great though and as long as I did something active he didnt' care. I spent many a high school PE class Sweatin' to the oldies or in the weight room or skating around the halls with my rollerskates. I became known for skating in the school hallways - the teachers would just laugh and remind me not to plow anyone down.

I thought I would have to be worried about allergies from candy today, but nope it was the shrimp stirfry. Two kids allergic to shrimp ate the shrimp stirfry. Parent says maybe it should say shrimp in red and bold instead of just labeled with THE NAME OF THE FOOD and *Contains Shellfish, Soy. Older kids too. Not the elementary kids.

This is probably the best thing I've heard today! I personally would love to roller skate across my campus. Could you imagine the time I would save?! I'm honestly not opposed to the roller skates (one kiddo is on a local skating derby team!), to be honest. I just had to shake my head because the ones who can't skate, never considered that fact!

We had our "Fall Festival" last Friday, so today is okay...tomorrow will be another story! All the grumpy stayed-up-too-late kiddos and the what did you have for breakfast "candy" kiddos will be in my office.

I am in the camp of being infinitely more worried about the disaster that tomorrow will be...
I am so tired and grumpy today. Crazy heavy rain and wind kept me up until well after 3. I predict that the levels of sympathy will be on the lower side today!
