thank you all so very much! i am always amazed at the friends i have made on allnurses. it's because i am in actuality sitting in a small house and working on a computer in a quite corner. it's just me and my three cats here.

i went to the movies and saw american gangster and bought a book with the stories of the arabian nights in it. i don't just read nursing textbooks. ha! ha!

not to worry. i am nearly deaf in one ear thanks to radiation therapy 10 years ago. the radiation destroyed the hair fibers that sound cause to vibrate when we hear sound which pretty much fried my hearing in that ear.

so, is our favorite "turtle" now 1001???
i have to explain that. "thousand year turtle" was a nickname my chinese friends gave to me when i was in school years ago because they thought i was lucky to be around. it apparently has something to do with being lucky. they said when they were around me lucky things always happened to them. wish they would happen to me, or maybe i just don't see it. it's been so long i can't remember the chinese language translation of the term, but when i talk with them i am still referred to by this nickname.

Ha! Ha! The right side if you want me to hear you.

My cats take turns sleeping on my pillow with me, but only get one little corner of the pillow :o. I'm never alone.
