Gum Chewing

What's everyone's opinions on chewing gum while on the job?

Just curious because I love to chew gum but I feel as though no one in my hospital does it. :eek:

rather, i'd be blowing and clicking away, with a skip in my step.:devil:

heck, if i really wanted to be obnoxious, i'd blow bubbles, click my pen AND make that disgusting, God-awful sound when hawking up some post-nasal drip.

i remember an o-l-d nurse i once worked with whose dentures (upper and lower, i think) clicked when she spoke or even when her tongue moved. maybe she'd come back from the next life to torment this doctor. oh... wait a second. she used a fountain pen, so no click. maybe she could use castanets??

how about a whole class of nine year olds chewing and chomping bubble gum as mascots?

i'm pretty sure the nine year old next door would volunteer -- especially if it would get

him out of a spelling test...:rolleyes:

we get mascots? woot! :yeah: perhaps we can have them drool for us and drop their gum on the floor and pick it up too! this is the coolest group of nurses i've ever been in! :D

i'll bet we could get james and his whole class to be mascots, but not until next monday, of course.

ya see, school is cancelled for tomorrow and friday because of the big storm and i'm fairly sure we'd have to get them out of school for a day. would that work?
