GUM! Can you chew it on shift?

Heard a hospital banned gum... didn't say why. I think I'd have to quit a job that banned gum.

Well? Can you chew gum? Why not? Do you do it anyways? Does anyone care?

Woah, there are some extremely strong opinions on gum chewing. I do not chew gum at work. It's unprofessional.

However, I do chew gum in my off hours. I'm not of poor upbringing or any of the other negative stereotypes that have been mentioned. I enjoy gum.

I don't care what my coworkers do. Chew gum. Don't chew gum. Whatever. I personally don't, but as long as you do your job, I'll do mine and we will get along just fine. End of story.

I suspect s/he is a sock. S/He just joined this month, and every post was on a thread about gum...weird. S/He makes unnecessarily inflammatory posts.
