hi to all blson aspirants,
let me start by saying that i am a little bit nervous because fall 2010 applicants are the first that are required to take the teas test. i'm also a little bit excited to have come this far. i'm hoping to get accepted into the fall 2010 program.
i will be keeping in touch with this website as much as i can this semester. to all 2010 nursing school applicants, i sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
Ngl, I HATED pharm. Pages and pages of notes with these quizzes every day over the material you are going to cover in class. These quizzes actually ended up being really important for a ton of my classmates even though they were only worth about 5%. I love skills and assessment. You'll have two very entertaining ladies teaching you there. Patho wasn't bad once I figured out how to take the tests. Two ladies teach that as well: one is an RN and the other is an MD...gynocologist only now if I remember correctly. That mini-semester class is stupid but DO NOT blow off the tests. We had one guy fail the class and have to retake it. Foundations is B-O-R-I-N-G. At the time I did not like the instructor but then this past semester she was my clinical instructor for my Med-Surg rotation and ohmylord did my opinion change about her. She's really cool if you get to know her on a more personal level. I think that's all of the class. Please correct me if I am wrong :)
For your fees, take the check or M.O. for your malpractice insurance only to the office in Urban Life. I think it's room 900? We are no longer using ERI at Ga State. We just started as of this summer using ATI. You have to pay that fee online. At some point you will be given a code and directions on how to create an account, enter the code, and then pay your fees. I don't know if you are ACE or traditional but I will throw it out there the ATI was $75 and will be that much per semester from what they've told my group of A3s.

To be honest there was NO time to go on a worthwhile vacation in my opinion. We had one week off. Used to they got two weeks off and a break between the two summer classes. That is apparently no longer the case. We got the week after finals and started our first class (Peds) on May 17. We will start our second class June 21 with no break in between because every one has clinicals that last week of our class even though our final is on a Monday. We will end up with 3 weeks between our summer and Fall classes. I saw we don't start this fall until like August 23 or something.
Out of curiosity, what have you guys heard about the classes you'll be taking this fall? I'll tell you my thoughts on them :-)
