GSU FALL 2010

Published

hi to all blson aspirants,

let me start by saying that i am a little bit nervous because fall 2010 applicants are the first that are required to take the teas test. i'm also a little bit excited to have come this far. i'm hoping to get accepted into the fall 2010 program.

i will be keeping in touch with this website as much as i can this semester. to all 2010 nursing school applicants, i sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

Does anyone know what is up with the ATI payments...THey've seemed to changed the codes on us. I paid using code: Semester: SEM-01-201008startACE but now there is a new code out for fall ace students.

*Note, I just checked the order history on the ATI site and it is blank (not sure if the payment was accepted but I do have a confirmation letter).

hi fdlink,

i noticed that the semester codes have changed as well but my order history is not blank. i also checked the tutorial tab but none of the online tutorials have been posted yet. you could call ati to verify your purchase. i guess there will also be more info during orientation.

hi irs1,

i am not sure if you still need the nurs 2010 book. if you do, chegg.com is a good website to rent books.

good luck.

i'm sorry if this is off topic or not allowed but does anyone have a book for n2010 (lifespan dev) that i can borrow or buy? i need the 12th ed. for summer semester.

please pm me with your contact info, i don't think i can send private msgs yet!

thanks!

Well first off just so you know, the whole point system they do at Ga State takes into account the GPA from your core classes required for nursing school (at least it did for the ACE program which I am in). I had a 3.7 program GPA. I transferred from Georgia Tech after the spring semester of my second year. I started Summer 2008 and went every semester (we're talking fall, spring, summer, and a may-mester or two) up until I started Fall 2009. Finally, I only applied to Ga State. I figured I would just try again if I didn't get in.

So...The time is almost upon us for the beginning fall class. Anyone else anxious/ready to do this? i just want it to start so i can get into the groove of things. Im sure my mind is making it seem alot scarrier than it will be.. eek!

Hey ..I wanted to know if anyone is working in the fall..I'm going into the ACE program and still deciding if i should work..Any suggestions?

As I've said, I'm an ACE'er about to start my A4 semester. I have classmates in my program who work. I know they find it difficult...I think they tend to mostly work on weekends if they don't have weekend clinicals. But then they run into the issue of dealing with Monday morning tests which I promise you you will have your A1 semester. So even though they advise against it, it is possible, depending on what kind of studier you are, to work A LITTLE while going to school.

HI! I'm starting in August too. Everyone I've spoken to has advised not to work but I'm going to be a brave soul because I can't afford not too. I think it depends on your job though because I intend on studying even when I'm at work. Oh and I'm fulltime right now, but I'm cutting down to only weekends, either Sat & Sun or Fri, Sat& Sun. I'll see. Hope this helps.

hi everyone,

it has been a while... i do intend to work no more than 14 hours a week. if the courseload gets demanding, i guess i would have to quit. however, i hope i keep my job until i graduate because i do not know what the job market will be like when we graduate... good luck to us all!

hi bbisso,

i am anxious and getting ready... the list of books are just endless. lol!!! for nurs 2160, there has been a posting for an advanced reading that we should complete before classes start.:uhoh3:  we have to read chapter 3 of one of the books... anyway, 'one step at a time' is what i keep telling myself. may we all have a successful semester and senior year.
