Hi, will anyone here be applying for the 2016 admissions for the CNL program at GRU in Augusta, GA?! If so could you share some of your career background/experience and stats! Also if some of you who are currently or have been in the program could give some input that would be awesome too!!
I, too, applied for the CNL Fall 2015 program. I submitted my application and supplemental documents right before the February deadline and it appears that it was too late. I ended up interviewing in March on one of the last possible interview days and got put on the waiting list. Unfortunately not enough people declined for me to be able to attend last Fall, so I decided to reapply for Fall 2016, as this is something I am very passionate about. I'm crossing my fingers to have better luck this time! Piece of advice: definitely apply and submit materials as early as you are able! Good luck to everyone applying!
Also, my aunt completed the CNL program two years ago and entered straight into GRU's DNP program, which many students do, but as a part-time student to be able to work at the same time. While working on her DNP she started with the Northeast Health District as an immunization nurse and then moved to the Children's Medical Services program as a nurse. She was then promoted and is now the Director of Children's Medical Services for the health district. Her CNL background definitely aided in getting her the Director position.
Hey everyone! I applied for the program at the beginning of September but because I took the gre later my application didn't get verified until October 6th. My interview is scheduled for tomorrow morning! Any tips on what questions to prepare for? The interview is only scheduled for 15 minutes so they can't ask many questions right? I have a 3.14 overall and 294 on the gre...so I'm kind of slacking there, but my prereqs are at a 3.9 and I have a bachelors in biology. I also did a nursing internship and have my cna. Thanks for the help and advice!
For those who took the MAT, did you get any sort of unofficial score as soon as you completed the exam? I am scheduled to take mine on Wednesday, and would LOVE to get at least a ballpark idea of how I did so I can go ahead and submit my application that night with a little more confidence:)
Yes, I got my scores when I pressed submit!
