GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions

Published

Hi, will anyone here be applying for the 2016 admissions for the CNL program at GRU in Augusta, GA?! If so could you share some of your career background/experience and stats! Also if some of you who are currently or have been in the program could give some input that would be awesome too!!

Yes, I am above the minimum but not by a lot :) Im just not great at standardized tests. I have been working full time for a financial planning firm for the past three years so hoping the fact that I am not in the healthcare field is not a deterrent either.

I have been a teacher for the past twelve years. I have no healthcare experience. When I went in for the interview, there was a current student in the waiting area with us so we could ask her questions. When she applied for the program, she had a degree in theater and had been performing in New York for several years. Take heart! That's what the program's for...those of us who don't come from a nursing background!

Crossing my fingers! Im very nervous! :)

Did you already complete an interview? If so what kinds of questions were you asked and about how long was it? Are there set interview dates or do they schedule them as applications come in? So many questions! I wonder if anyone has already been accepted.

After what seemed like an eternity, my Nursing Cas status finally changed to "verified." For those of you who are past this point, will I receive something from them now letting me know that my application has been sent to GRU?

I didn't get any type of notification. After about a week of having been verified, I emailed Emily and asked her if they had received it. They had gotten it, so apparently CAS doesn't send out an email.

Hi everyone! I am applying to the program, too! I am not worried about my GPA, prereqs, Letters of Recommendation, etc., BUT I am incredibly nervous about my GRE score. I graduated from high school in 2008 with honors, from GSU with honors, and yet I couldn't make the minimal score through the ACT or SAT to get into GSU for my undergrad. Anyone in the same boat?!?

ambake, I am TERRIBLE at test taking! I honestly don't think I will make the minimum score for the GRE. Was the Quantitative Reasoning part hard for you? I stink at math.

Have you considered taking the MAT?

I am ok at test taking when it comes to a class but standardized testing is not my strong suit! I scored above the minimum but not by much.

I agree with TriChick...you should try the MAT. Not much math there.
