It's a religious school - in addition to being private and not cheap. Some people don't have problems with the religion...

I will be applying for the program in the Fall 09. However, i will only need one class done by then. Will they still let me apply?:stone
So you will still need to take one more class when you apply or during the program? If you are in traditional I believe you can still have classes that you need to take, however if applying for fast tract you have to have all classes completed by the start date of the nursing program.

]You can still apply to GCU as long as your pre-reqs are done before the start of the program. Hope this helps!

Hi all,
Firs let me commend you on begining your journey through the nursing program. I am a ADN graduate of GCC 20 yrs ago it was a wonderfull program. Over the last several years since 2004 I have obtianed my BSN and MSN as well as a busssiness degree through GCU I also teach as adjunct faculty in the RN-B program. The curiculm is wonderful. The instructors are there for you, understanding and always willing to assist. I strongly encourage you to obtian your nursing degree through GCU the price may be a bit higher but it is well worth the experience you will have.
Best of luck

I just had a meeting with an advisor last week. For the fast track you need to have all of your classes done. There is also a class that they require which is 8 weeks and online. This must be done before you start any of your courses. Everyone says how expensive Grand Canyon is but honestly it is not much more than ASU. Dont get me wrong, I am an ASU Grad (business degree) but if you cant get in to ASU this beats waiting around to get accepted into a community college program. As for the religion, it didnt seem to be a huge issue. You do need credit in religious courses but your options are really broad and you can take like a history type class.

thanks for sharing the information. how much is tuition? i searched their site and could not find it. i remember it being around $500-$600 per credit hour? do they have a few starts and a traditional program also? i am amazed at the no wait. are you going to pursue a start date with them and if you don't mind sharing when you would be starting. i appreciate you sharing the information even if it is a link to information on their website.
Undergrad tution is around 395 a credit hour at GCU..

i checked gcu's website info today and it looks like they charge 645.00 per credit hour for traditional undergraduate (when taking 1-11 credits)... but i'm sure there will be extra fees when registering.

has anyone already taken nur207 (therapeutic and professional communication) at gcu?
it's one of their pre-req's and the school says there isn't any other class offered at other schools that would be an equivalent.
thanks
