  1. Thank you for your post. I ended up getting into nursing school out here in Arizona and really enjoy it. I wish the best for you and hope that you find an institution that deserves your expertise.
  2. Hi! I agree with Geaux, bad experiences happen everywhere and people do pass more negative information than positive. Yes, there are a few "bad" nurses, and some might be a little stuck up. But I'm pretty sure you'll find that anywhere you go, not just at Mayo. I've been working at Mayo as a CNA for a few years now and love it! I like Mayo's philosophy of "putting the needs of the patient first" and really do feel that MOST of us follow that. Just remember that there's always going to be a bad apple somewhere that ruins it for everyone else anywhere you go! Thanks! :loveya:
  3. Hi! I had inquired with them a few months ago, so the information I know may have changed! -The program cost is about $80,000. -They are not regionally or CCNE or NLNAC accredited. So their classes might not transfer to other schools. I felt uneasy about paying so much and attending a school that wasn't accredited by the CCNE or NLNAC. Have you looked into California Baptist University? They have a BSN program as well and are accredited by the CCNE. If I had not gotten accepted into a school in AZ I would have applied here. www.calbaptist.edu Hope this helps!:wink2:
  4. Hi! I know CGCC wasn't on your list, but I took Chem 130 at CGCC and will PM you with his name.
  5. Hi! They are super expensive (80k), and they are not CCNE or NLNAC accredited. I would also leave this as a last resort. Have you thought about California Baptist University in Riverside? They have regional accreditation as well as CCNE. Hope this helps!
  6. I agree... I called to ask some questions about accreditation and they wouldn't answer them. All they told me was that the school was nationally accredited and not regionally accredited (regionally accredited schools transfer almost anywhere). The operator kept dodging all my other questions and suggested that I go directly to the school and speak to an advisor about their nursing program accreditation (I don't think they are CCNE or NLNAC). I ended up not going since the school is in Phoenix and I live in Queen Creek. It would have been a huge waste of time since I'm looking for a school that is CCNE or NLNAC and regionally accredited. Sometimes these schools ARE too good to be true! Hope this helps! :wink2:
  7. Hi! What is their accreditation? CCNE or NLNAC? And how much is their tuition? Thanks!
  8. Thank you so much! I also thank you for being honest about it. :wink2: I'll take your advice and wait. I'm probably going to apply to Cal Baptist University and schools out here in Arizona. I just can't wait to get back to Cali though! Anyways, sounds like you're a great student and I wish the best for you!
  9. The tuition and the fact that it's not regionally accredited turned me off from WCU. Oh well! The search continues...:)
  10. WOW! That's a lot! Thanks for the info!
  11. Are they regionally accredited? What's the cost of the BSN program and how long is it? Thanks!
  12. I just called them and they said that they were regionally accredited and are still working on getting their CCNE accreditation.
  13. Does anyone have any information about this school? Accreditation? Tuition? Thanks!
  14. Hi! Thinking about moving back to the O.C. from Arizona. What is the wait list like for community colleges? How competitive is acceptance into a BSN?
  15. Hi! The essay was really easy. I am thinking about starting the March of 2009 program. I want to get some classes done at the community college before I start at Chamberlain to save some money. :wink2: But I also plan on applying to the community colleges and GCU.
