Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

I rented the book for Spirituality, as I do all my books, but I believe it is available through the online resource.

Did you find the book for this class. My SA told me that it is a downloaded PDF in the class resources. I switched out of this class because I felt under the gun during a busy holiday week. Will be starting this in 5 weeks.

The Books - They both are available via PDF to d/l in the class resources of syllabus. I never could get them to work on my Ipad.

There are two of them, one that you HAVE to read in order to complete one of the assignments.

Not looking forward to this class as well, but I shall overcome --(Cue uplifting church music)

If you could let me know about the book situation once you start. My advisor stated that the book is in the resources and it is available as a PDF download. Thanks...

Rob - For some reason allnurses did not notify me of any new messages here. Has been doing that lately. I replied to your earlier post about the books situation.

That is it in a nutshell.....play the game. The first week I was having difficulty in that concept. Poor Mr asked me on Wednesday how many more weeks we had. LOL

I am on the downhill slide on week 5 this next week. *whew!!*

Can honestly say I am looking forward to my leave back to the U.S. and no school for a few weeks. Then it will be to finish up 4 classes and I am done! *Will do a HUGE happy dance then!!*

Last class I had which was Patho, we had 4 in our CLC group and our instructor wanted the agreement sent by Monday. There was one girl who hardly checked in but said she will do whatever we assign her, and the other never checked into the group til Wednesday. Got ahold of the instructor Tuesday to ask what we do about her. She must of addressed her because she finally replied in our forum that she is sorry but she has a job and will get to her part on the weekend! WTH? A lot of us have jobs and kids and lives too and we manage.

I am starting to wonder if there is some sort of FB group or allnurses thread that instructs slackers on how to get out of doing their part of the CLCs. You know like "don't check in til the last minute ad then complain about how busy you are".

My final project for Ethics was a pain as usual. I offered the beginning of the week to edit and turn in if everyone got their part in by Friday because I worked on Sunday. One person didn't respond all week. Finally Saturday morning I dug and found this person's cell number. So we had a lovely conversation via text where this person said they couldn't do their part til Sunday because "I am working and I'm very busy" and "stated I don't see what your dilemma is". I said "so you will edit and turn in then?" and they freaked out on me. We went back and forth wasting so much time in which this person could have just done their part and posted it for me. I finally said I am going to edit and post what I have right now and hopefully you will put it together and turn it in or else we will get a zero. I also let them know the instructor had been notified and stated she knew who was doing their part and who was not. So yeah the next day I checked in from work and guess what? They edited it and turned it in. Still waiting for a grade :(

No CLC project? See, God does exist!

I was dreading this class too, but now I am really looking forward to it. My co-worker said it is super easy and she actually found it interesting despite the fact she is not religious. I am officially on break until Aug. 25 and Spirituality will be my first class when I start up. An easy transition back in.

I am now in the midst of moving from a home full of 15 years of accumulated crap. And yeah and it's July in Phoenix so it is hot as hell! Pray for me! Not sure what I was thinking.

No stress for you, huh? :( CLC's should be outlawed.

Ok I have been snooping through Capstone that I am about to start tomorrow. I have not seen anything out of the ordinary as of yet. The prof (one not on the list) does not have anything crazy posted, only to watch the deadlines and look at the grading scale. What should I be looking for? Maybe it's too early to tell if I will be lucky with this one or not. Still wanting to gamble on it though. I just want to be done!

My prof didn't put any "extra" stuff...I thought it was all pretty straight forward...just a lot of writing
