Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

For what it is worth Ro, I have, but only because they copied my work. She remained in the class and showed up later in Spirituality. When it came time to get my paper back from the fellow student. There was her name. It only caused me grief I believe.

I learned lesson in that Spirituality class.....In our class, one was to remain anonymous when it came to critiquing a fellow students paper! BUT one may be able to tell who marked it by the "track changes" I believe when I clicked on their "track change" in MS Word...it stated changed by so and so! Of course one can change the name i n ur MS Word settings.......

The first week of spirituality requires a 800-1000 word essay on your own personal worldview. Thee are 7 points you are to cover having to do with your worldview. It's nothing difficult, so I think it would be something you could do while on vacation. By the way--have a great time!

Getting the Prof you want is a big benefit in my opinion, as you already know something about that prof.....Can save 1 a lot of grief!!

Still looking for a 2nd "anything" class that does NOT have a group project. Currently have HLT-314V Health Care Systems as my 2nd class..but no clue if it has a group project or not----my (un) adviser won't say!! So if you know of a class that does NOT have a group project, would love to hear about it.

They must switch things up fairly often to keep us on our toes.

Rob, the class used to be fairly paper heavy.

Ro,

I hear about plagiarizing from my co workers. I think the internet is too tempting for the cheaters who are too stupid to realize that we all Google the same stuff.

Back in my dinosaur world, it happened all the time, because you could hide it. Unless a professor knew every written word on a topic, you could cheat galore because the information was in many different books.

I have talked to a few that are not on here or in my FB group, and its funny they same the same things about GCU---plagiarism and slackers in the CLC groups.

Not sure why anyone would plagiarize ever..especially in the discussion questions as you are risking a lot for such few points....and ur work is always there to be seen. 1 can go back to all ur previous courses and take down their names and pass it along!

I read an article last yr about a guy up in Canada that writes papers for students..authentic papers..I think he stated he was making around $50,000 (under the table) a yr doing it. Was something like $2000-$3000 per course he would charge. Of course there are many more like him doing it too.

This is ridiculous! The course only costs 1600.00 and effort on our part. I find it fairly easy to write papers with less than 5% similarity score and get near perfect grades. It is just time consuming for me to do so and I would like to be doing something else. People do not have any self respect, the BSN behind your name means nothing if you don't do the work yourself.

I think that I will take my chances with another instructor at a later date. The time off is necessary to recharge my batteries. You know I have had unknown instructors and even one instructor that wasn't suggested and I got through the classes with minimal problems. I have had more problems with CLC assignments than instructor throughout this program.

Vacation starts tomorrow at around 3:00 p.m. !! I will miss all next week except for Friday. This is because it will be my one year anniversary at work and I want to be there for it. I am planning on bringing deli trays to thank my coworkers for being so great to me over the year. I am really lucky to have landed this job.

Very true, tokmom had this experience too. Sometimes wingin' it works out for the best, that's how I got that Spirit instructor!
