Members are discussing the accreditation and acceptance of BSN and MSN degrees from GCU in different states, particularly focusing on the requirement of a preceptorship for BSN programs. There are concerns about certain states not accepting GCU BSN degrees, while others share experiences with the capstone course and offer tips for scholarly activities. Additionally, there is mention of GCU transitioning back to a non-profit status and the impact of this change on students.
Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.
Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.
Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

I'm lost there. Sorry
Hope she finds something she can use.
I can't make sense of the post! People should never, ever wait until the last minute. I hoped it worked out for her.
Ahhhhhh... Last assignment submitted to Professional Dynamics. 1 week before starting Family-Centered Health. First Prof choice not teaching that class. Any other recommendations? PM please.
Thanks!
Just got done with an instructor was the least helpful I have ever had. Felt like I was hung out with a syllabus to fend for myself with no guidance, even when requested.
Starting Community Health with M Nicks as an instructor. Feedback would be awesome! Feel free to PM - I hope I can read them.
Thanks!!
I had one like that. It drove me nuts. I would bug them and keep asking until I got an answer that made sense.
I tried that until it appeared to be almost a pi$$ing contest. So didn't want to PO the instructor the second week of class! Didn't matter how you asked, you never got a straight answer.
Hi Puddles, see if you can go back to your post above and remove the instructor's name.

That is exactly what I did this week. NOT good. I know my work wasn't tip top, but at lest I turned it in. 30 minutes before midnight too.
Patho is done! I am so excited. I have Trends, the Capstone and an elective. Seeing only two classes in the upcoming courses section makes me positively giddy!
I have received a couple of PMs, sorry not over my 15 posts to reply yet! Thanks for the feedback on instructors.
Has anyone ever found out what a personhood grid is? No, not in that class (yet) but was wondering what it was.
Once I found out it was only worth 10 points--I gave up.....when in doubt--ask a Librarian.... Was not a question I had in my spirituality class
