Members are discussing the accreditation and acceptance of BSN and MSN degrees from GCU in different states, particularly focusing on the requirement of a preceptorship for BSN programs. There are concerns about certain states not accepting GCU BSN degrees, while others share experiences with the capstone course and offer tips for scholarly activities. Additionally, there is mention of GCU transitioning back to a non-profit status and the impact of this change on students.
Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.
Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.
Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.
Late. It finally happened...6th class in but here we are, I guess it needs to be added to "must experience to graduate checked off list". Hmmmm
Oh now Winter. You KNOW you're gonna get a "revised" version after the original shows up! Fingers crossed the next class has an awesome group member to vent to.
I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THIS POST 100%. This group and tokmom ROCKS and I really dont know what I would have done without you all.
Noooooooo, if you (YOU) had done this a few years ago, WE would not be here. I probably wouldn't have stalked you if your original GCU inquiry thread had been like 2009 or something. So, everything happens for a reason, I am where I am because of YOU, and this totally rad group of AN'ers would not exist (heaven forbid we might all be spread out amongst WGU, UT Arlington, and *gasp* UofP threads!). So don't wish me away tokmom!

I only have 4 more peer responses and then I am done with Stats!
Now I have 6 weeks to concentrate on moving, and working to make money for the moving. Then start Intro to Research on Dec. 8th.

Gee everyone, thanks for the compliments. All I did was look for advice from previous gcu folk.
