Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
jj, you've started, yes? Day 4 in the bag? What do you think so far?? Are you getting geared up to write the ADN vs. BSN paper? Tell, tell!
I didn't like that paper. I feel like there are many times they ask us to put down our current degree and education. We all took and passed the same boards. Don't make the ADN degree sound so bad.

My teacher for professional dynamics was really great! I wrote a paper that talked allllll about the many benefit of having a BSN education. She graded my paper and added that "critical thinking skills tend to develop faster for the BSN—reflection and experience allow the ADN to meet these desired outcomes as well."
I guess I just got lucky with her. She also graded everything really fast! I'm still on the edge of my seat wanting to know any of the grades from week 5 of my second class.
JRich, how is it now that you are back to one class?
Jj,While we may not share the same classes I'm starting this jouney a week after you, perhaps we can still get each other through and offer support as needed over the next "few" months.
Myself and another AN user didn't start at the same time but now we are in the same class and same group! Thanks to all these great people on here and FB, I feel so much better about this program and it's so nice for support and suggestions on the classes/assignments!
Yeah, that paper was a hard one to swallow. It felt like a brainwashing, IMO and we had to make ourselves sound like idiots.
I think that paper was when I first realized what Flames always says... "Figure out what they want and give it to them" (or something like that). BTW, anyone who is gearing up to write that ADN/BSN paper, use the IOM report for a lot of your info because you will be writing the IOM Report paper later in the class and it'll help to already have some knowledge of what that (enormous) report says. Plus, if you use PERRLA, all your references will already be in there for paper #2!
Having only 1 class is so much better. There is no way I could have done 2 classes with patho being one. Especially since my teacher makes us do extra work on top of what is already assigned by the college.
Hi JRich,
I'll tell you what finally happened with my crappy patho class; My friend and I decided to stay and on Monday she posted first (her case study DQ) the instructor said "great job, blah, blah and promptly gave her 5 points out 20 which is an F! Then my friend asked her if she and I could be in the same group as we have always been throughout this program, and of course the instructor said NO!
I said to my friend, lets get the hell out of here! Mind you this was this past Tuesday too. I called the school and told them we did not appreciate this instructor and wanted another class please change us to another Patho class and voila! We got switched out of that nasty class and landed in a really good one with a normal instructor! We are really happy we were able to get out of there even late and in spite of having posted our stuff (I had already posted the Sunday assignment on that Tuesday).
Lucky for us we were able to re-post our work with no issues because the assignments were exactly the same.
I am relieved! I already finished the 1st weeks work and am moving on to the next.

Wowsa! 5/20 points yet she said it was a great job? It makes me wonder what your grade on the paper you submitted was going to be.
