Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

one more question for all my RN-BSN people is there a required book? and if so how much memory does each book take up? because i just got a mac with 128 GB and I'm thinking i should of got the 258 GB?

I'm not sure (not tech-savvy here), but I think you CAN download them if you want to? I just have the Pageburst website saved as a fav, click it open, click on my book, and it opens right up

The first time I had an essay I submitted it late Sunday night to TII and then had a panic attack when I realized I didn't know how long it would take to receive my TII score, lol!

That's funny, I had a similar anxiety attack when I submitted my first paper in my first class. I clicked "submit" to TII, and waited...and waited...and waited... 45 minutes went by and I started to freak so I called the IT people and asked if the site was down or what the hay was going on because my paper was due and I was just staring at this "Report Awaited" thing! He said, "did you refresh your screen?" AAUUGHHHH!!!!

Maybe you can download, but like you, I have the linked saved.

HAHA, I did the same thing, lol. Now I know better. In fact when things are taking too slow, I open up IE, Firefox and Chrome and see which gives me a score first, lol. Even now, I get nervous submitting to tii or having to submit multiple things at once. I invariably screw something up.

I know, that's one nervous click, ey?! One of these days I'm going to be so tired I'll click on the wrong thing and accidentally submit my chili recipe or my dog's vet bill ... :woot:

On my tablet/phone I can download one book at a time. On my computer I downloaded all 24 books. this is 2.13 GB. There are quite a few books that have two editions. You can save space by only downloading the most recent edition. But I think you'll have MORE than enough space!

I think you have to use the pageburst app to read them if you're not using the URL.

I like to have the books on my phone so I can flip through them while I'm waiting! The app for iPhone is called VitalSource Bookshelf

How do you guys handle CLCs if you think a members work isn't adequate?

Maybe I'm super picky but I felt like the work given to me to add into the powerpoint was SO sub par. Just word for word stuff (but with spelling errors?) from a google search not even answering the prompt.

This was my second CLC and it was a total mess. Crossing my fingers for the next one.

Maybe I just need to let my opinions about the work go and just copy/paste as that is what I signed up for, not hours of searching for the source because the reference wasn't APA, rewriting, and formatting the text.
