Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
WOW! What a nutcase! Some of those instructors are hell freaking bent to make one's life miserable! I can see grading down if it is justified but a 5/20??
My friend asked for clarification but by the end of the day the instructor did not reply. We kept checking the classroom all day to make sure we would be switched and by 9 pm last Tuesday we were out of there and into the new classroom so we will never know. We think may be it was a mistake but her 7 pages of requirements weren't.
The assignment due on Sunday is a 25 question review quiz that you print to pdf when you get 100% and then submit (no turnitin) so that was no problem we had the same thing in this classroom.
Only 2 people, my friend and another lady had posted their DQ's by Tuesday, yet in this new class there were like 6 or 7 people that had already done it and were already having a lively discussion. So what does that tell you about that instructor? We were both getting neurotic and crazy wondering how to do everything perfectly! We are so relieved to be out of there!
I'm soooo glad you were able to change, one whackadoodle can wreck 5 weeks of your life (I had that in Family Centered Health Promotion & I think tokmom/pandora had that in Spirituality...). Then you get a really great one and it's such a relief. I want my effort to come from a place of actually learning something, not out of fear of a TII score or subjective grading. So, I want to know how you got your Sunday assignment past TII the 2nd time around?? Didn't it come back as 100%?I live in fear of TII, that click-moment is the most anxiety I ever feel in these classes. I ran my last paper through Grammarly and it said 8% and TII came back 21%, so now I'm sad that I can't even get a true heads-up before I go to submit. It's always a surprise.
Well in pathophysiology (or at least in our class and the one we changed to) we only have one big DQ due on Friday's and an assignment due on Sunday but this 1st week the Sunday assignment was a 5 part quiz with 25 questions total that you take over and over until you achieve a 100% then you print the PDF, save to your computer and then attach and submit to the assignment due on Sunday like usual. This one was not supposed to go to the TII because it's all the questions and answers (multiple choice) which were the same for most people so no TII requirements on that one.

I remember that 100% PDF we had to do. It took me a couple of hours. Not fun!!
How many DQ did you have in Patho? We only had one and it was due on Friday, but as you are finding out, there are questions in the question, lol.
I wonder if your patho instructor was the one instructor that Pandora and I were to have for trends?? Geez, I can't remember, but we read the announcements before posting and got the heck out of Dodge while the going was good, lol.
Like Prism said, they can make or break 5 weeks, lol. I didn't think spirituality was ever going to be over!
I just submitted my two of three projects due this Sunday in my Capstone. It feels sort of weird and scary that I'm finally here
One more paper to go. I have in final rough, so it shouldn't take me too long. This class is teaching me that I can't spend an entire week editing and tweaking my papers. Definitely have to stay focused in this class. A lot of people are terrified and appear to be running in circles. I can see why, lol.
Work ahead people. I can't stress that enough. Get your idea for your research articles early on, print them if you would like. My articles are highlighted with side notes, so I can refer to them quickly. I also have stickers on them. Pink for peer review and green for research. That way I can immediately look at one and know what it is. Yes, I'm quirky and over organized lol.
Ok..back to the big paper.

Yep, that wasn't fun, nor were those DQ
Jj,While we may not share the same classes I'm starting this jouney a week after you, perhaps we can still get each other through and offer support as needed over the next "few" months.
that would be great and I am sure I may need a break for a week sometime. So far this first class is very do able. Interesting people in the class. That is all I will say for now.
jj, you've started, yes? Day 4 in the bag? What do you think so far?? Are you getting geared up to write the ADN vs. BSN paper? Tell, tell!
Yep PrismRN, yep I am.. good memory. How far are you into it? Well I am actually still trying to get my group to fill out parts of the CLC agreement and I could of had it turned in by now...

You guys can tell if you are in the same class by those numbers at the end of your courses, such as 0151, etc.. if they match, it's a good thing, especially if you are on the same schedule!

Pandora and I usually filled them out. FYI, keep the info, so the next time you have a CLC you can copy it to the next one. Why reinvent the wheel.
Another annoying thing people do. They don't use the same template. Oh noo, everybody has to submit one because they don't read the post that says: CLC AGREEMENT. ADD YOUR INFORMATION HERE ONLY.
