Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Yeah. I had some real slackers and just don't want to deal with that again. I'm hoping they've eliminated them since it's big dissatisfaction piece for many people.

yes u would think that schools would get rid of them..as if one has a choice between schools and they are fairly even..most would go to the school that has no group projects. Pretty sure I made it known on my final course review I was not a huge fan of them..or maybe since I was done..I asked for more group projects, lol Not sure why some make the group dynamics so difficult.....the topics in the BSN portion were very straight forwrard and much easier to do ur part of a powerpoint, then write a paper!! I guess some just like drama in their lives

So my advisor says they still have group projects. Someone I was in the BSN program now has an MSN and said they didn't have any???? Ugh

Maybe they took a different masters program? Adviser could be clueless, lol

I'm in the last week of spiritual and ethics. I agree, My least favorite and the final paper with 6 references is ridiculous! Stats was better by far...

I just finished that class, it wasn't that bad. The DQs were the easiest because they were all opinion based. The last paper was pretty easy - in order to quote both religions and principalism, 6 references was easy, I think I had 12 total references. I didn't like all the gray matter of the class, but it left room for it to be the easiest because there isn't much fact other than quoting the Bible.

Hi first time posting on allnurses. Im in the Statistics course at GCU and they are using a SPSS program to turn work in. I am totally lost and need help figuring out how to use this program. ive called the school and they have one instructor who can help but he wont be available for 1 week and then we have to make an appt to speak with him; really??? one person and make an appointment. Not very student friendly. Ive watched one youtube video and still lost. If you can help please do.

Stats has changed since I took it, so prob not much help. There is quiet a few Youtube videos...M ystats prof had a fair # of them...search for Tina -GCU on youtube or search Module 3 Exercise 32 Pretty unacceptable they only have 1 instructor......I was fortunate my wife is a #'s person..if not what I would have done, is paid for a tutor.....You can find them online.....Most programs do require a Stats class...so one can't really run from it,lol But yes there are some that do not...Another option is to take it elsewhere and see if GCU would accept it. But prob best option is to find a tutor. I will send u a PM

Try contacting the professor. I had the class 4 months ago and he would let us call him. Who is your instructor?

Stats professor: Nadine Ayoub. Thank you for your reply.

thank you very much. I will review the youtube video you have recommended. Thank you again for you reply.

can you pm me the specific instructor too please! starting the program, tomorrow. Actually any preferred instructors too would be awesome!
