Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
I was thinking that yesterday too now that Gikg has joined us in the Capstone countdown! Who's up for a Masters???? LOLOLOL Talk to me in 6 months, thinking about the CNL for myself.
Winter you've lost your mind. LOL. I'm pretty sure I'm done. We will see if I get tired of having free time. Haha
I would stay at GCU, but I wouldn't do MSN. I'm not an acute-care nurse, I don't love teaching, public health is too scary for me, informatics makes my brain hurt, etc., I haven't really seen an MSN specialty that interests me. Howeverrrrr, I was perusing the website yesterday and ran across this:
Master of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology:
In the master‛s in industrial organizational psychology program, students will study the principles of psychology in order to gain an understanding of why people act the way they do in the workplace
Master of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
Now I've always been fascinated by people and why they do the things they do, particularly at work. I think the CLC is just a microcosm of the workplace, so you see where I'm going with this. Why do some people behave the way they do in groups, and how do you get the best out of them? Obviously I never figured that out (thus my CLC frustation), and I find those same dang people work at my job (and your job, and everyone's job). This says its a 20 month program, but it's only 36 credits - same as ours - so I'm not sure why it ends up being so long? I couldn't find anywhere how long each class is.
That'd be a funny looking title: Prism, MSPEIOP, BSN, RN

Graduate classes are 8 weeks long Prism!
Don't scare me with the count down just yet! I'm still so behind for last week's work.

I'm so sorry that you are having to work a week behind for these assignments
I'm sure you know this, but just in case, I saw a notice that nothing can be submitted past the last day of class. Can you take a few days off work in the next 2 weeks to get caught up so your final paper will for sure be ready by the last day? This is makng me very nervous, I'm freaking out for you!
All this recent talk about the capstone has fired me up a little! Just finished everything for the Stats class and turned in my assignments. I am going to hate nursing research because of the free time I had in stats!!!
I opened nursing research and have an instructor I know nothing about. Isn't on any list I have ever seen, but the announcements don't look terrible. In fact the announcements are rather slim. This in itself kind of worries me. Oh well, I think I will push forward instead of a break.
I wish everyone luck on the capstone!! I hope Aimee hustles and catches up. I an cheering for all of you!
So good to check in, and see so many of you are close to the end!! I'm excited for you all.
We planned to go out to Phoenix for the graduation this month, but I had a change of heart. In a way I'm bummed, but sad to say the excitement has worn off. Especially since I have framed the diploma and have to start paying off my student loans.
Anyhoo...congrats everyone and finish strong!!
My diploma is still in the envelope. Good for you for hanging it up, Proud.
I didn't walk either because I couldn't justify the cost of walking and flying to AZ. I did watch during a live stream and it was interesting to see the actual people go with the names. Some I clapped for and others made me want to throw something at the screen.

No kidding. Call in sick for a couple of days to catch up. They are very strict about turning anything in late.

That is an interesting degree. Again, I would have no idea what to do with it, except play games with my co-workers heads, bwahahaha!
Like you, Prism, people fascinate me. What makes'em tick or do stupid things, lol.

It does cross my mind to go ahead and obtain my MSN, but I don't know what I would do. I would like to teach, but lets face it. The pay is crap and I have a good gig now. I also have kids wrapping up their degree and my parent loans on them AND mine from GCU.
