Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Ok guys, who knows that you can view old Capstone submissions on the GCU website? Oh yes you can!

Ok, I am stuck and am going to have to ask for help. I have spent hours today between 2 essays, one in Spirit and the other in Ethics and have come up with nothing. I cannot for the life of me figure them out. I am becoming very stressed out because in order for me to be able to take these 2 classes together, I need to complete a good amount of the assignments before I go back from Spring Break. I need help with an assignment in Ethics from week 3. It is the one regarding the ethical dilemma of the 6 year old who has Christian Scientist parents. We are to use a decision making model to analyze the case. In the lecture notes it gives Uustal's model as an example. Can anyone remember any other models that would be appropriate?

My other question is in Spirit in week 2 and is the Case Study: Fetal Abnormality where we have to find which theories are being used by the mom, aunt, dad, and Dr. Again, in the lecture notes it talks vaguely about theories, but not by name. I am at a loss as to which theories I am to be choosing from. I can tell from being in these classes just 2 weeks that I do better with things that are more concrete, and would much rather write a paper on a disease or procedure, but this is just about to get the best of me! I have made no progress today other than putting all my assignments on a calendar. If anyone remembers these assignments and can point me in the right direction I would be soooo thankful!! I got the new Ethics class. So you are in luck ;-). This was the paper that the wonderful teacher reassigned to me because I was having a bad go of it with my mom and dad.

Use Uustal's model and spell out the steps 1- then 2- Ask your teacher if you can go over word count because you will go over word count on this one. Lay it out per the rubric but make sure you have all of the steps clearly identified. That class is not clear, the week 2 assignments worked with week one DQs etc.

Sounds like Spirit has changed, so I cannot help you with that one, sorry!

I had no idea that Capstone papers can be viewed on the GCU website. I would like to read some of them, how do I access them?

I don't remember how I got to the articles I just did a search on the GCU website. I put in a PiCO question I think. When I found it I didn't read it because I don't want to skew my thoughts and write someone else's stuff!

Winter, Yeah maybe your right. I am still having a hard time trying to get the 15 article paper and proposal done as it so darn much and everything is staring to look and sound the same. I was finished everything for Patho on Sunday and am having a hard time keeping up with Capstone. I am ready for this to be over.

Derk I didn't take ethnics but from the sounds of Spirituality has changed because I didn't have an assignment like that when I took it which was in December. Sorry

Winter was able to give me advice on the Ethics paper, which I truly appreciate. It sounds like Spirit has changed. I will ask the teacher when it gets closer to the week of the actual assignment. I guess these 2 classes are my least favorite so far. I'm not an "out there" kind of thinker!! Thanks for asking!
