Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Hi all, I've been lurking here for quite some time. I've finally come to the conclusion that others may be able to help me pass this stats class! In my first week of class and I'm already overwhelmed! Any suggestions about how you got through it? Any good links to understand the content? Thanks in advance!

What has your instructor given you for extra help, other than Khan Academy?

My instructor had videos, as well for excel, that helped with that part of the homework. Otherwise Google was my friend for videos that made sense. Another semi helpful website is wolfpram alpha.

Thanks guys! The instructor hasn't provided anything other than Khan Academy as their resources, as well as the "nursing research" textbook. I looked around LC and haven't found the info on tutoring... And can't remember where the link is, I tried the Student Success Center much to no avail.

Hi ievent2!

Regarding the tutoring, if you go to the log in page for GCU, underneath Announcements, there are 2 boxes. One is the Center for Learning and Advancement which is a tutoring service that you sign up for by appointment. The other is Thinking Storm which you connect to a live tutor for help. I have not personally used either one, but have heard good things about them. If you go to you tube and type in the course number you should find videos for each Module recorded by an instructor from GCU. They are very helpful. Good luck! I hope you are able to find the videos because they really do help you step by step.

I provided a link to the videos above from my prof....

Anyone else suffering from Spring fever? I have been trying to wrap up this paper for Research all morning. I have walked outside no less than 10 times to soak up some of this great weather we are having! It's 85 degrees here this weekend and it is sooooo hard to sit behind this computer. All I have left is to put the paper into PERRLA and then head outside for more sun!

Spring like temps all year round here in Quito. In the mornings at 0600 when I go for a run its around 48F..and the high is around 78F...but normally 70F is the avg high!!

Okay AN friends, I just finished spirituality and had the best instructor ever! I don't start Leadership until March 30th because in June, I need a specific week off and to get that week off had to take 2 weeks off now and again in May. Anyways, I am not seeing any preferred instructors for Leadership on the list. Can you guys PM me with your suggestions? Thank You!:D

Feeling the same way!! Finally warm enough to go outside and do some shooting, but I am stuck inside doing next weeks assignments. Maybe later this week. Rumor has it, the temps will be around 65 by mid-week!

I hope you had a chance to sunbathe!!

For those o you in Statistics now or coming up wanted to pass along a word of warning. Starting in week 2 there is more than one page in the Excel assignments. I happened to notice it and caught it before I submitted the assignment. On the bottom of the page it lists problem 1 and problem 2.... Click on both of them!!

Everyone else probably had noticed it, but just in case.

Thanks Rob4546 for the heads up! Going to need all of the points that I can get! Have a feeling that my GPA isn't going to be staying at a 4.0 much longer! 😐

I have the same problem, but it was a balmy 34*F here today with rain/snow. Tomorrow looks like a high of 46, massive "heatwave" for us right about now... Can't wait for spring and summer, sitting on our deck and doing homework!
