Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
It is such a mess. More and more people are openly complaining about the TA's grading. Some of it is grading on grammatical opinion/preference, rather than correct structure. Some corrections are just incorrect. Like the TA told me that the title on the first page, above the introduction, should be bold. It should not for correct APA. I cut and pasted the case scenario from the assignment and added it to an appendix. The TA even made a correction on that lol. Stating that requesting to initiate treatment should be with the parents, not from the parent. Huh? Since when do the parents work side by side with the docs and nurses? If anyone starts a class and sees it has a TA, get the heck out of that class right away!!!
I was wondering about this since the discussion started. How often is there a TA and do they announce it before the class starts? I couldn't imagine arguing with a third party about how a paper is graded. I do not have the patience and will revert to using colorful sentence enhancers in my replies... Maybe I am just tired.

TA=teacher's assistant? To avoid? Timely absence? What is a TA?
Also, the instructor finally reset the assignment for me yesterday afternoon, and gave me a whole 4 hours to resubmit my assignment before she gave me 0 points for not submitting the assignment. Right now I've got an F in that class. The only other F I've ever received in all my life was PE in 10th grade because I hated PE. My enrollment counselor said I've made a good case for not losing any points due to tardiness, but that was before we knew she gave me a big fat 0.
No, the 0 is my score for the paper. I am determined to do like the ice queen suggested (at least for this weekend, when I can do nothing other than this) "let it go! let it go!"How do you know if you are in a class with a TA?
But if she reset the Turnitin can't you still get a grade on your paper?
ok, I know this was discussed fairly recently, but right now I have PPT brain......Which class is writing heavy vs PPT heavy - ethics or spirituality? I am thinking of overlapping these classes 2-3 wks so I will be done by the time I head back to the US for R&R this summer.
Thanks!
I found it no more paper heavy than others.....I know zero about religion.....don't care for it, each their own. Was a class I knew I had to take, and still walked away with a 4.0 I think it depends on the professor.

Let it go know for now. Fight on Monday unless like Tokmom says it's an F placeholder. What a joke a four hour window without a text? With bated breath your all eyes on GCU classroom, NOT! I would fight this one, she's got history and GCU should help you. Grrrrr these situations steam me! Like you have time to do this? What is going on with them all the classes all posting and wigging out about plagiarism, really, NOW??!!!! I'm officially 8 weeks and counting as I could get THE teacher for Cap so last week of trends I will start Cap! I am officially crazy. But it's not just me my hubs peaked/read the IOM he thinks I should get my APRN. Someone is going to have to talk me off the ledge!
Yes it does. My prof gave mostly B's. Wasn't uncommon to have a "great" paper and have 10-15 points taken off. Every paper made my stomach hurt.Puddles, there are two papers due at week 4 and 5, otherwise it's a paper a week. HTH
Thanks! Once GCU is done with maintenance I will look again. I think spirituality is after ethics so that would work well.
I appreciate all your advice
