Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
I just noticed the first course(?) IGC 100 was already started and I've been missing a couple of days due to not being informed. My enrollment counselor told me the orientation would be closer to the start date. Since my start date was moved to the end of Feb, 2/24. I didn't expect to start this intro yet. I just emailed to my adviser ;-(
Yes, easy to fill out CLC agreement but not so easy to haunt down some team members if they decide to play invisible man or woman. We once had a member that was a no show the whole way through. No amount of contact from us stirred her from her slumber. Until of course, it was the last minute, and we were about to submit the assignment. Not sure how she was graded, but the instructor was aware of what was happening.
That-was-painful.
Oh I have had painful group experiences as well. IT can be really difficult to work in a group online. We all have different work schedules and time zones. I had a class where the teacher even had to call a girl out in the group forum because she was being nasty towards others saying that if this is all team work we should be picking up her slack. I don't know how she was graded. Sadly she was in my group again the following class. Group work has taught me the only person I can trust is myself, and I don't think that was the schools original intention. But there is so much group work for this program.
Hi everyone, my next class is Concepts in community and public health (427). I just wanted to know how is that class? I am on my 4th week of health assessment and so far it has been the most time consuming class. I just wanted to know how my next class would be so I can prepare myself mentally :) Thanks!

Group work is the buzz word right now. It's actually called active learning. My two friends in brick and mortars have the same problems with their groups and hate group work in general. Thankfully, my groups have been ok. I figure I only have one more class so only one more group project..yay!

I had a friend who just took that class, and what was a group project for me, was a solo assignment for her. I guess they are revamping this particular class, and the coursework looked heavy. It's a meaty class anyway because of the detail needed about a community.

Were all working for the grade--so I have no problems contacting the prof is someone isn't replying. Thats why one should take the time and be quite open on the steps your going to take to resolve an issue. Wasn't my group--but 1 group had an issue and the prof stated--well what did ur CLC Agreement state? And it didn't really say much, but not sure how the prof dealt with it in the end.
