Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Oh man... I hated that it was group projects. Solo work is easier

Oh no, this was also a community interview you had to do and write up and there was a power point at some point. I don't know. It was massive with three things due at once.

Thanks! I think I am doing alright so far. Hard to know since the teacher hasn't graded anything substantial. Just the first DQ of week 1 and week 2. I don't understand how week 2 DQ 1 was graded before the 2nd DQ of week 1, but whatever floats the teachers boat. I am hoping she gets around to grading these papers shortly. I would like to see how she grades things.

I don't think you have to be religious to find spirituality interesting. You can do a paper on Wiccan if you want.

Anyway, you must have a female instructor. Lucky, lucky you...Let us know how she grades. There is a man that is known to take 15 points off for minor APA problems.

I was told about a guy that deducted points for everything. Yeah, I have a female instructor. Hopefully she isn't too hard of a grader.

Was this for community health? If so, then yes, it was a major PITA! We had to do an interview with someone in one of our communities, then do a community assessment and a PP! It was ridiculous because how are the ones that don't live in the community really supposed to help?! It was difficult to get everything together.

Well, I hope I don't get that guy :/

Yeah, he has killed many 4.0! Good luck with your instructor.

Sunshine, ask your advisor ahead of time so you can avoid this guy.

What is this guy's name? I don't want to get him lol.

Flames, you are right! I think I am worrying so much and nervous before starting the courses.

All GCU students now get ms office completely free, not just a trial. I downloaded it last week, such a lifesaver!

Yes, I love that free MS Office! I have problems downloading them to my iPhone though, not working outlook emails and in my phone. I just want to access this while away from my laptop.

No way. If I knew that. I had to buy mine. :(
