Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Hi everyone, my next class is Concepts in community and public health (427). I just wanted to know how is that class? I am on my 4th week of health assessment and so far it has been the most time consuming class. I just wanted to know how my next class would be so I can prepare myself mentally :) Thanks!
I took that class sometime last year. We had 2 group projects in the class. We had to write 2 papers as a group. I believe it was busy work assignments.
That class was tough, but I think we all got a little lax after the winter break! The group project was ridiculous, everyone complained and was confused, as well as the last assignment. I hope they fix it! I managed an A in the class, but like another poster, my teacher and her student teacher were very picky with APA!
I had 2 group projects due in Concepts and Community and Public Health. I was able to get an A in the class (I have in every class so far) There are more classes to come with 2 group assignments. My last class also had 2 (ethics) and I was tole I wouldn't have to take that one since I had already taken an ethics, but they will choose whatever 12th class they want. Right now I am in Spirituality and there are no group projects, but this is a very paper heavy class. Spirituality is NOT my strong suit at all. If I lose my 4.0 status in this class I wouldn't be surprised.
Spirituality kills a lot of 4.0's.I don't think we had two group projects in ethics. Probably a good thing because I was sicker than a dog with food poisoning for two weeks and would have been a horrible groupie, lol.
I don't think my ethics teacher liked me. My personal papers and work I got low A's in, but the group projects I got 100%'s in.
I am so worried Spirituality is gonna kick my butt. I am agnostic and it is hard for me to say a bible verse is saying this or that when I don't believe in the bible. Plus, the teacher isn't grading things very fast.
Just play the game, lol!! Being an ex military guy, I just give them what they want to hear, lol I'm not religious, I'm not Agnostic, I'm just me,lol I'll just write the paper on what argument I can best make and go from there. Best of luck.
Thanks! I think I am doing alright so far. Hard to know since the teacher hasn't graded anything substantial. Just the first DQ of week 1 and week 2. I don't understand how week 2 DQ 1 was graded before the 2nd DQ of week 1, but whatever floats the teachers boat. I am hoping she gets around to grading these papers shortly. I would like to see how she grades things.

I think this class could have been fascinating but the prof was SUPER picky about APA and would take 15 points off a paper for smaller things. I only had one paper that he liked. In fact raved about. I came out with an "A" but barely.
