Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Yep, it's the first week's assignment for Leadership, so you can basically take the week off & turn in your current one! :w00t:(btw, I'm done, and it's stunning. Anyone would be crazy not to hire me!) :rotfl:
Saweet!! A little fine tuning and I'll be all set. Thanks for the info. You're sure to land the job of your dreams with your stunning finished project! Woohoo. Go get'em Prism.
Another tidbit about that resume. If you use the link that GCU recommends you have to PAY to get your resume OFF their website to submit. Soo, my fellow Lopes, use your own resume or another link that is free!!
True this, in fact my Leadership instructor posted this: "For the Resume and Cover Letter Assignment – when you go to the example web sites – DO NOT BUY ANYTHING. Do not download – but create your own work using the examples as guidelines."
But, maybe I'm just dense, but I really couldn't anything to come up as an example (they have them on there, but they're screenshots of someone's resume and you can't zoom far enough in to read it w/o it being too blurry). I just googled the heck out of examples and got all I needed.

In the final semester of nursing school we took a leadership course and the facility gave us many examples to model our resume. They also helped us fine tune it so that it could be used immediately. Have to add a couple things, but overall it is completed to today.
Also found out that my leadership is like the last class I take.... I have to wait till the end to take a week off........ Darn.
I shouldn't be so uptight because I still have my 'A', but it could be a better 'A'.
Okay rob...I think I win on this. I just got my grade back from my superfantabulistic resume: 49.70/50 (99%)
...and all I can focus on is that missing 3 tenths of a percent... where did it go? What wasn't good enough? Is it wrong to cry? Is there medication for this disorder we have???
so I just talked with my advisor about the testing out vs required courses with GCU. He says that a minimum of 30 GCU credits are required, and if you transfer in upper division credits that qualify as one of the 12 core RN to BSN classes, you are able to test out of that class. So although I had plenty of credits to transfer in, all were from a community college and none of which classified as an "upper division credit". So I am required to complete all 12 courses. darn

Yes, you do have me beat. I was looking for the 15 missing participation points, you are looking for 0.3 points??? "OCD is strong in you young one....."
The only medication I have found that has helped is..... Made from the agave plant... 99% on the resume, is that like a 98.9% chance of being employable? Sounds like it to me.... Sorry I spend too much time in the NCLEX forum....

I was informed that if I keep them in there more than 24 hours they disappear into the great unknown. Longest I have left them so far is 18 hours, still there. I will still use this though, come up with the responses the night before and just edit and post in the morning before I go to work. Anything to save a few moments I guess.
